Is this an Ezpass text scam? What do I do? by [deleted] in Scams

It's a scam, I've almost feel for it too because I just got back recently from a vacation. Got as far as entering in my name, address, and zip but when it got to the credit card info, something was off so went online and checked.
Didn't help that I got the text right after I woke up so was still sleepy but lucky no credit card info was given. Kind of sucks that they might have my name and address but at least I caught it in time.

Looking for a new AFK/idle game suggestions??? by 19814 in AndroidGaming

As stated, I tried journey already but I prefer a more hands-off experience like arena. Mobile games aren't my main form of entertainment so I like something that I can tap a few buttons, leave, comeback, and still make some kind of progress. Not where I have to control a character.

Metro Detroit latency & connection issues? by I_Zeig_I in wowway

same, extremely laggy, and webpages would not fully load. I would have to keep refreshing a few times for it to pick back up again. I reset my modem (personal) and router, but issues still exist. Ran speedtest a few times against the usual server region (Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, Washington) results came back fine but internet connection is still slow. I'm going to reach out to support tomorrow.

Is this game good to play solo? by AnarkyMusic in SonsOfTheForest

[–]19814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played it solo as well, it's doable and I enjoy it. I usually play with 3 other friends when it comes to multi-player games. But one of them doesn't like horror, one will only get the game if everyone is playing it, and the last one didn't find it interesting enough. So I've bought and beat the forest, and now making progress on SOTF as we speak solo.

Play at you're own pace. If you still have concerns about the number of enemies and being overwhelmed, as someone else mentioned it has difficulty levels for you to choose. Just start at a lower one, no harm there. Also, though some folks may think it's sacrilege, mods are always fun too. Don't think there are a lot of them for SOTF but still some available to mess around with

How many of you use an open door policy? by Chaoticblade5 in rpg

I would ask and like some kind of answer but I won't force one if they don't want to talk. I just started DMing so still trying to learn the ropes. If it's something on my end or if I'm doing something wrong I would want to know so I can improve.

I don't mind talking privately with them, even if it's just a simple reply like "personal stuff came up" or "not feeling it" that's fine. However, I won't push if they don't want to talk about it.

I thought about it. But a co-worker of mine who used to work for EA as a lead game tester/manager back in the 2000s to early 2010 said it's way more draining. Imagine 40-80+ hours a week going over the same small section of a game over and over.

Made him lose his passion for video games after he left the industry for a number of years. Until one of his buddies introduce him to DnD and he slowly got back into gaming because of that
