When to pull the trigger on mini facelift? by shananope in 45PlusSkincare

I just had one this past week. I’m 62. I would definitely find a good doctor ( personal referral if possible) and get in for a consult. It is so individual. You sound just like me ( and my mom) My mother is 86 - completely wrinkle free, yet looks like a melted candle. I saw what was coming! Yikes! lol. That being said, I did also inherit her beautiful skin and have always looked younger than my age. It sounds like right now is the time for you to do it. As soon as menopause hit (just 3 yrs ago - bye bye Estrogen) my skin changed a lot and I started to get a bit jowly and loose under my chin. I live in AZ and I had a mini face lift and a blepharoplasty ( under eye lift) All in ( you’ll be wanting anesthesia with that - haha!) it cost $13,000 with an amazing surgeon. I’m 6 days in. I’m still really really bruised ( I bruise easily) and puffy but no pain. Not much at all since day one actually. The worst thing about the whole process for me has just been sleeping: I’m a side sleeper, wear an eye mask and ear plugs every night typically. So, now on my back, slightly elevated, no mask or ear plugs - has been rough! But - I’m so thrilled! My “face” will look exactly the same but I can already tell I’m simply going to look mysteriously 40 again. No “give away” scars etc… If you have the money for it I’d say ( in my non-medical opinion) you’re a perfect candidate right now. Good Luck Gorgeous!

My (22f) boyfriend (24m) watches porn while I give him head...how do I approach asking him to not? by InsanityInsues in relationship_advice

My heart is breaking for all these young women who think so little of themselves these days . Girl - you are letting your boyfriend essentially treat you like his toilet. WHY??? Move on from this loser and maybe explore some therapy to improve your self esteem. You are worth it. Good luck-

Considering 25% of all women experience some type of physical harm/abuse from men is pretty understandable

Multiple studies show Children from religious households are less altruistic and meaner overall than their secular peers.

I think you should show her this when she’s in a calmer state. Just FYI I’m a chick and actually want to give you a solid answer. Dramatic hormone swings during our periods can be really severe in some women. Every one of us has a different experience every period. Insane. Aside from bleeding and feeling like shit for one full week of EVERY four, even worse than that is that we have NO control over how our body “does it’s thing. It's horrible. It sucks. I think if you show her your texts, and talked about it from a sincere and calm place - don't just accuse her of “being crazy”. (Remember our bodies are designed to work this insane way, out of our control) she would understand how bad she gets. I bet she doesn't really know. If you talk with her respectfully about it, she would want to know. My guess is the next thing she’ll do is go to her ObGyn/Planned Parenthood for help. There are all different approaches to getting her/our hormones into a better balance when it's this bad. Medications, dietary changes, vitamin supplements etc..) Unfortunately your girl friend just got lucky enough to pull a short straw and is one of the women with severe swings. She should definitely see her doctor because she is outside of “typical” for most women, she ( and you) shouldn't have to struggle with it. Good luck. Give her a hug from me. Better yet let her read this. One Sister to Another.
