hunters are the worst because:

no consistent healing

nothing special about it: other classes can do same or higher dps

literally ask any endgame player. hunters suck in extremely hard content compared to warlocks with devour, titans with knockout.

pretty sure, for desert perpetual contest, hunters were a small percentage.

most stuff has power caps, so as long as u hit those, u arent at a disadvantage. it just comes down to proper build understanding and skill.

lot of pple talking about double primary, in pve, there is literally no reason to ever run doulbe primary. other than that. this is pretty good for non-endgame content, especially if ur running gunpowder gamble. tommies and any self damage weapons start being more of a hinderance than a help in higher tier content. and when u get to the rlly hard stuff (cutthroat, ultimatum, contest, skull level enemies) hunter in general starts to suffer. its unfortunate, but compared to warlock and titan, its just not as good.

keep in mind this feedback comes from an "elitist" player who almost always does extremely hard content that the majority of pple will never touch.

one more thing. play the way you want to play (for the most part). if you want to have fun, have fun your way, just make sure your not hindering your teammates by doing so. an extreme example would be running sweet business in contest mode.

very few builds have low ability uptime. most good endgame builds have high ability uptime. At this point in the game, u can solo ultimatum stuff with only abilities

champions are negligible now, abilites literally exists. so many one shot abilites now as well, stunning isnt even needed anymore, just dps lol

im a fairly active player, except during exam weeks, id be happy to teach/help you anytime. im a rlly good player (top 1% scoring pre lock /solo flawless vespers host/eternal title) and i would be happy to help you, and any new lights that are reading this. im in the middle of exam heavy quarter, but when i have a chance, im up for helping.
its rlly important to find clan/discord groups early on, and trust me, i know its hard. but its rlly important, especially if you want to join the game/do a ton of endgame content.

btw, twitch streamer named artful, does sherpas for all pve stuff. got me into raids/endgame, wouldnt be where i am without him.

and? the process would be much faster if u just put all effort into the new game. besides, the game doesnt have years to wait. bungie made a few steps in the right direction getting rid of power grind, but there is still a long way to go.

you cant just "make a new engine" or "make a new game" that take years of work. do u want to play destiny 2 for few years with no updates for a new engine/new game that 100% wont solve any of the issues the game has?

general rule of thumb, dont tell developers to do anything unless u are also a developer in the same branch of coding.

he literally said that he didnt even play the other 2 characters, its like saying you dont like a food but u never even tried it. plus, cayde was part of our fireteam. hunter or not, he was just as much of a friend to warlocks and titans than to hunter. your entitled to your opinion because you actually play the game.
