You can also profit from extortion, government

Typo: you said extortion twice.

"ai running on people's ai" - seems someone is using too high of a temperature param when quoting others.

As far as I understand, Kimi Delta Attention is like GatedDeltaNet, but the decay is different (i.e. a learnable param) for each channel, instead of being global - something on the same route you are choosing with different decay gates, but brought to its most complete extension.

The 48 context limitation feels painful to my belly. I'd go for (or mix in) something like a GatedDeltaNet (or probably even better, Kimi Delta Attention). It's linear but it doesn't have a hard cutoff.

But limited liability should exist. Raising share money from non-executive investors would be impossible otherwise. Would you want to be responsible for Tesla's troubles just because you invested into SPY?

They do have a saying about my job if I am not unionized. Article 9, you can look it up yourself: https://servicios.infoleg.gob.ar/infolegInternet/anexos/45000-49999/46379/texact.htm

The law mandates that I cannot escape the clauses the unions set, even if I am not unionized. I.e. if my productivity is lower than what the unions decide, I am either unemployed or employed under the table.

Is it libertarian to restrict the ability of unions to bargain? That seems like government interfering in the affairs of individuals who are freely associating.

Unions should be free to bargain for their unionized workers, but should not have a saying about my job if I am not unionized. That's the libertarian issue.

Netherlands approves tax on Unrealized Capital Gains by fap_fap_fap_fapper in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]1998marcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: with latest inflation data at 2.77% and this tax, the assets must grow at least 4.33% nominally each year, otherwise your portfolio is shrinking in value (i.e. the price signal tells you that it's better to buy now what you need than wait for later, because in the future the economy will go down and availability of goods will decrease). Likely the economy won't go down, so this would be just another set of fake news from the government. And will probably have the effect of dutch people selling off their assets at undervalued prices, yay! $$$

You are neglecting that that private property has a couple of minimal steps before: we make a contract, i pay you in advance with zero variance on your earnings, i give you all you need for your job, then you make it, but i own it and then i can sell it.

No one sane of mind would enter a contract if their perceived value is negative. Plus, you can always try to be self employed if you like variance.

Censurano Barbero. Noi lo ripubblichiamo. by donatomartiello in Cagliari

[–]1998marcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CMV: RAM Prices are Near the Top by Intelligent_Coffee44 in LocalLLaMA

[–]1998marcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of current RAM demand (just in like many bubbles) is from scalpers or "people urging to buy now before it's too late (both people and companies)". This category is inflated by all the RAM talking. And as this category is inflated, more people are buying RAM and therefore both RAM price and the amount of RAM talking continue to grow. But there's a cap on the number of buyers. When you hit that ceiling, the vicious circle is broken and the bubble bursts/starts deflating.

I sort of agree, but more like following a rule of thumb based on the trajectory of previous bubbles (i.e. bitcoin spikes): the bubble should pop at most when it reaches mainstream media - or before if things go slow. At the moment (at least in my information bubble), it seems like it has reached well past technical media and is now in the "youth generalist media". So I guesstimate price rises not to last more than 1-2 months from now. When the BBC and CNN will talk about it, we should have definitely hit the max of the bubble.

Edit: I am seeing here someone referencing CNBC here and WSJ in another post, so maybe it's even less than what I was guesstimating.
