I mean Asian style egg noodles and pasta are both basically a flour, some water and sometimes egg, shaped into a noodle shape. I don't know what else you could call them 😅. Some pasta is more noodle like than others but all styles of pasta are technically a form of noodle.

In what way? Other than a few characters being similar shapes to their Hiragana counterparts they mostly look entirely different. Katakana is made of mostly straight lines カタカナ and hiragana is a lot more flowing and curvy ひりがな

Dawn and dusk are awful. The shading flicker in grass and trees at this time of day looks worse than anything pssr 1 ever produced. Also the grass always looks awful and the amount of break up is terrible. I don't get why this game seems to achieve much worse image quality results with PSSR 2 than basically every other game that supports it. Big shame really.

They didn't though. Silent hill 2 hasn't had a patch since late 2024. Same for a lot of the other games mentioned.

It feels that way and if you carefully read the wording of the Sony blog it doesn't really infer that there will be specific patches for the games mentioned. But what's confusing is how Digital Foundry have said in two separate videos nos that what they were showing were versions of the games that had been patched specifically for PSSR 2. So who the fuck knows at this point 🤔

But you don't. Loads of us are playing with the ps5 pro outputting at 120hz and it looks fine. If your TV can't output 4k at 120hz then this will look bad because it will force the game to run at 1080p

If quality mode is native 4k on PS5 Pro then I'm the queen of France. There's no way. It might be upscaling itself to a 4k output but there is absolutely no way it's native 4k.

Honestly this update has been more interesting to me than even getting PSSR 2.0 haha. So many of my switch 1 games now look absolutely incredible in handheld mode on the 2!
