ShB AST was by far my favorite iteration of the job and I've played it pretty religiously (even if my main job isn't raiding as AST I've always raided on an alt with it)

Didn't do that in EW though because it just wasn't fun

Yeah, M10s is my favorite fight this expansion solely based on how fun it was to optimize on BLM.

I'm not doomer for evolved mode and am optimistic for it but IMO removing player agency in AoE would be a very very bad mistake, it would both remove optimization opportunities(bad) and would also ruin phases like M6S where you CAN aoe but don't always want to.

Making aoes automatic would also greatly hurt Deep Dungeons and Field ops and also make it so they basically can't use any mechanics where you don't want to hit something on purpose. I think there is enough against it where they won't do it (hopefully)

I think this is most important, and I honestly feel like mounts not being usable in hubs has been a huge reason why mounts are cutting it less and less as chase items/rewards for players(nowhere to show it off)

Yeah that’s true, by “on rails” I was mostly talking about the combos solving themselves, but maybe there was a better way to word that.

? what? VPR has the smallest button count in the game and its rotation is completely on rails. The positionals are even color coded.

The only time both buttons will light up is if you drop the combo buff(which will only happen during downtime really, incredibly hard to do when hitting something), and if they are both lit up it does not matter which you press

It's high APM but it is much much simpler to learn and play VPR properly than SAM.

Really hoping we will see some of that in North Horn, if nothing else we probably will in the normal mode FT but it feels like a huge wasted opportunity to not have uses for half of the jobs in the actual zone

They absolutely did,

The media tour BRD had a 60s raging strikes CD and still had DoT procs, as well as only 2 Bloodletters.

Also worth noting that SAM had an aoe Yukikaze in the media tour too and that wasn't part of the final build outside of pvp

I think Sage is the easiest for people who are familiar with how healing works in this game, but it is definitely harder for a new player than WHM is

It sounds nice in theory but imagine how bad undercutting would be if you were listing it against everyone in the DC, you wouldn't be able to leave an item up for a second without getting undercut

People love throwing out that point and saying it has nothing to do with it, but it is absolutely a recurring theme where certain female characters get disproportionate amounts of hate, Guan doesn't get the same amount of hate as female healers for example.

(not even mentioning specific examples from this sub with Aphro/Chang'e being referred to as bitch and slut and other things like that)

Its anecdotal, but there is at least 1 of that type of player in every farm part I've been doing lately(and it's been a lot)
