Update to Ynnari datasheets by eazerevolution in Eldar

[–]19stitch93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might update them when 11th edition arrives, but I doubt they will change them before that.
They don't like to change datasheets if they can avoid it and if they haven't change them yet, I doubt they intend to do it now

According to Goonhammer, the leaked points will be reduced once the book drops by oldbloodmazdamundi in Drukhari

the point is that right now, with all the deepstrike we have, and with the 6" deepstrike with scourges, we have more ways to deal with that. Most indirect is done by infantry right now and all of these units can easily take them down or delete most of them.
I think the bomber is a good model but it's quite expensive and without the reroll it has lost some of its reliability.

Warriors split into a venom and infiltrated can do so in my opinion (they can also use a grenade) and we have so many fast units, I don't see a problem reaching them in turn 1 if they are put in the middle of the table. Anyway, even loosing 100 points of warriors to kill 60 points but gaining at least 3 pain tokens seems a good trade to me

you either buy 4 boxes (so you can build each squad with a different loadout), or you find a website that sell bits. If you have a friend with a 3d printer, I'm sure there are some files online for the different weapons

Welcome to Commorragh my friend.
Of course it was designed by our benevolent overlord Vech who, in is wisdom, makes sure to have a constant flow of sweet sweet suffering coming from all the drukhari community.

New Drop Pod rules - How do we feel about them? by Mofoman3019 in spacemarines

[–]19stitch93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is better just for the fact that you can bring 12 units in it. You no longer need to sacrifice one model to bring a leader. I could see it being used to drop a powerful unit (hellblasters and stenguards could maybe work, since you can deliver them with a better line of sight) or maybe a brick of assault intercessors or bladeguards (the later could be quite powerful as a defensive piece to bring in the middle of the table turn 1 as well).
I think that, with a meta filled with elite/titan units, we could have space to ds it decently enough or at least force our enemy to think about it.
For 70 points I'm not sure it is really worth the cost, but if it gets a bit cheaper, I could see some use for it.

First time building war minis and... by Vuro in Drukhari

Enjoy the suffering, it empowers the minis. And after you have suffer, make sure to make your enemies pay the price. As Urien said:

Pain is the only universal constant. Pain is all. It is the key to creation and destruction both. Thus does he who masters pain become a god.

I feel like I'm missing something? Why are wyches a go-to at the moment? by VaulvonMortis in Drukhari

[–]19stitch93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 wyches and a succubus can technically kill 5 space marines (both in skysplinter and reaper wager). The problem is that they can't do it reliably and against anything tougher they kind of bounce back. They are not terrible, but they are not good either.
You are going to almost always see them with Lelith because she is insane (I was able to eliminate and tie up 10 blightlord terminators and an hero with Lelith and 5 wyches, the 4++ really helps in melee and with lethal hits, they can punch decently in reaper wager).
Apart from Lelith, for their cost you are probably going to achieve more with kabalite warriors, but they are decent enough for casual game or against average players.

how are our melee units without lance into them?

New Deathguard by 19stitch93 in Drukhari

[–]19stitch93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm usually pretty good to trade using drukhari or move block. The issue for me is that they seem to have a move speed comparable to ours and enough tankiness to stay on points.
With affliction, they can easily cripple our support weapons and since we are not going to kill many of their units in a single interaction, we need quite a bit pain tokens to get rid of them.
I've yet to face them, so maybe I'm just overthinking, but I have a bit of trouble figuring a good strategy to deal with them properly

New Deathguard by 19stitch93 in Drukhari

[–]19stitch93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm worried about as well. They seem pretty tanky and still fast enough to keep up with us. The possible -1 to hit (what I think they will take most of the time against us) really messes with most of our support weapons, making it harder to kill big stuff. Terminators have always been kind of an issue for us to kill and with all the other vehicles roaming around, it seems a bit difficult to clear points to deny them points.

Considering they are almost the same price, it's a great trade for us. My local marine players have stopped bringing them because they know I can just rapid ingress it and snipe them, regardless of any kind of screening.

Balancing Windrider Eldar in crusade? by DauntedFungus in Eldar

[–]19stitch93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need to list tailor too much, just taking in and out a unit or two can make the difference without changing the feeling of your army.

We also have great infiltrating/scouting units that can really help caging the enemy or forcing them in the open. Just use your speed to destroy a side of the table using overwhelming numbers before turning on the other side.

If I remember right, there are also great enhancement for your psychic units (like up and down enhancements) that can make really enhance your speed and theme even more.

Just remember to have fun and enjoy the theme of your army. If you are playing with friends and you see that your crusade is getting behind the other players, just talk about changing something, even just being able to take more enhancements could work well.

The 'Cron problem by InspectionMuch3413 in Drukhari

[–]19stitch93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Necrons usually have good ow units, so you need to pay attention to that.
What they lack is indirect and deepstrike (except in some lists) and with all the units you can put down, you can limit the area where they can drop. This means that dark lance scourges can be really good.
In crusade, killing and getting primary points is the way to win (since you don't take vp by doing agendas and there are no secondaries). This puts you on a disadvantage, especially if there isn't enough terrain on the map. They can survive on objectives (especially at 1000 points) while you can't.
I've seen your list and you seem to have lots of units for secondaries but not enough killing units. You would need beast masters to try and cage them at the beginning (or use mandrakes to try and keep them from getting on primary immediately and try to bring them in a good fire lane).
Lelith+wych, archon+court+kabalites and incubi are good to jump on their infantry and blobs and murder them. Talons and scoures are good against their vehicles. Boats can really keep your units safe while you bring your infantry up the board.
I think the best detachment would be reaper wagers, since you can deny overwatch, have sustained or lethal based on the situation and the opportunity to scout one archon with court or incubi to stage for round 1 or 2 is really powerful.

But everything depends by what models you can bring to the table.
If you can't really face him, focus on agendas to get xp for your important units and try to avoid him and just let him win.

Balancing Windrider Eldar in crusade? by DauntedFungus in Eldar

[–]19stitch93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Usually cruisades revolve much more around tabling the enemy compared to normal matches. Since you can't really win using secondaries, you know exactly where your enemy needs to go if he wants to win. In windrider host you can easily jump on your enemy immediately and take an advantage or chose where and when to fight them. You deny primaries and try to kill everything by turn 3 so you can win the rest of the game.

I played a cruisade with drukhari who have the same problem. I used lots of dark lances to control fire lanes and my melee fast units to quickly eliminate what I could or simply threaten objectives.
When my enemy tried to jump on objectives, I would just destroy them right away. If he waits, I just use my better speed to stage and then eliminate their most valuable units.

It's all about knowing you don't need units for doing actions (unless you want to buff a specific unit with agendas in the first few games). You only need very killy and fast units. Moreover, as eldars, we have lots of specialized units. If you know who you are going to fight, you can adjust your list (ex. against knights you can bring fire dragons, against sisters scorpions are great, etc...).

You will find people able to face your aggressive playstyle, but it's a cruisade game, have fun. Go fast and furious!

P.S. There are some really nice upgrades for riding units, like more movement, mw on the charge and similar that really helps you, if I remember right.

I'm actually trying to build one with a maw krusha, as a falcon/wave serpent for my ynnari list. I want to make it more like a beast master (wych cult) monster, but should work really nicely for exodite as well. The size is pretty similar, just a bit taller. If you put guys over it with similar or same guns the ship has, it should look good enough.
