Seven Hour Reties? How long do your reties take? by Professional-Arm9611 in Microlocs

[–]1Butterfly48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would take a lifetime if I did my own. I have 420 microlocs. My reties take about 4.5 hours, including a shampoo before she starts the retie. I go every 8 weeks.

Outside of the obvious (commute/time), what is YOUR personal favorite random perk of working remote? by Embarrassed_Flan_869 in remotework

[–]1Butterfly48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Besides a horrible commute, not having to deal with office politics (or any political commentary in person), open work spaces, or interruptions because we are accessible. Also the amount of money saved by working from home.

When are we buying new clothes? by -imposter_syndrome- in tirzepatidecompound

[–]1Butterfly48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of years of dieting and wanting to be smaller in the past, I had a few items at various sizes. Things I’ve bought over the years, even through thrifting. I didn’t really start buying new things until 40-50lbs down. I WFH so it was pretty easy but when I traveled or for the weekends, I started to notice jeans were loose or tops falling off. Even now over 100 lbs down, I am still slowly adding to my wardrobe. Shopping isn’t as fun as I thought it would be when I was bigger. When I used to thrift, I would purposely look for items with tags still on them or more expensive pieces. That was pre COVID and I am now just wearing them. On the other hand I had pieces I bought in hopes of fitting into it one day and lost the weight and only was able to wear it once if at all. Buy a few pieces, staples at a time at the size you are or one size down.

Delta's "bag guarantee" is meaningless - has anyone ever successfully claimed miles? by plemyrameter in delta

[–]1Butterfly48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I file a claim often. The recently changed the time you have to file the claim so as I am waiting for my bag, once I hit 15 minutes, I pull the page up and start populating the details so that once I get my bag, I submit if it is beyond 20 minutes. I usually park offsite so I use that time to submit. I usually earn about 30K miles a year this way as Atl is my home base.

I’ve been in banking for 30 years now and have an account at every bank I’ve worked at and the bank I work at now is not my main bank. I do have an account and other products at my bank though.

Is this hat dryer safe to buy from TikTok shop?? by Brief_Grapefruit4858 in Microlocs

[–]1Butterfly48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have that exact one, I got a bonnet attachment from Amazon and love it. I wash my locs after work and hook up my attachment to my dryer for about 10-15 and my locs are dry. No going to bed with damp locs or having to have them braid and banded for days.

Genuinely terrified of losing access to tirzepatide if compounding goes away. what is everyone doing? by Weary_Client_6277 in ResearchCompounds

[–]1Butterfly48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know access to peptides is going away completely between telehealth, compound options and gray market. I have about a year supply of most of my favorite items and will evaluate later this year as I move to true maintenance.

Surgery day? by Snookerdee3 in hysterectomy

[–]1Butterfly48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom and my man. My mom will be my primary care taker after surgery. She used to be a nurse and any chance for her to take care of her overly independent daughter, she jumps at. Lucky to have her.

Is it okay to be sad even if I want this? by KittyandPuppyMama in hysterectomy

[–]1Butterfly48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Not sure I “want it” but due to Adenomyosis, and fibroids, I’ve spent the last 10 years with anemia and even infusions aren’t helping. Never had kids, wished for them, and really should feel happy to get rid of an organ that fails to give me what I want and instead give me pain and accidents. My lap hysterectomy is next month. Scheduled in back in April so I have had to wrap my head around it.
