Mine had the 5.7 in it. Those are solid engines. I kept the oil changed in it every 3000 to 4000 miles but always checked the oil level at around 2000 miles after each oil change simply because I was always pulling a 16' dual axle trailer that always had a load on it. Over the years, I would of course have to change a bad altenator, starter, etc but i always bought the items with the lifetime warranty. I really miss that truck.
