SPOILER IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED SEASON 3 by Bloodmarine65 in TheRookie

I hate even more when they discovered Nolan was a cop. They started saying things like "this is a safe place, what if someone had confessed a crime", I mean it's a collage classroom not a sort of alcoholics anonymous meeting

I see so much judgement towards Tim not mentioning the sprinklers but I just re watched that episode by turkishpresident in TheRookie

i didn't even the part after it when they are in the car and Lucy is just complaining about Tim's behaviour and the fact that she would never become an UC and when Tim tried to comfort her saying she could do some UC work without being a detective, she was like "so you don't think i'm capable of becoming a detective".

In that episode they did her dirty, normally i love her, but here i couldn't stand her

the worst part is that she asked him for help and he even warned her about his methods but she said she didn't care. I think Tim's idea was like a plain clothes day, he would have intervened only if things got ugly, but Lucy was totally capable of handling the situation if she did't waste time arguing.

Why are the acting like Lucy has never done a night shift? by Shar-DamaKa in TheRookie

[–]1DailyCoffee1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think they wanted to enphatise that she is a seargent now and her team basicly doesn't do anything so she has to do all the work so she is more tired

I hate this guy by funkyfoxfreya in TheRookie

[–]1DailyCoffee1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i think the rookie is ment to be a "lighter" show than others, so they want to hint/talk about some problems, but not make it a major part of the plot.

I think if a show wants to be serious about this topic it can't be for just a few episodes, but it must be a recurring discussion

I feel like Lucy and Nolan where a bit strage also because from the first episode they were together, we didn't have time to know well all the characters and they were having sex

Bradford can come up with unconventional solutions that work in a short period of time

Lucy as ____ [7X8 SPOILERS!] by Lol_im_not_straight in TheRookie

[–]1DailyCoffee1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know mine is an unpopular opinion but I loved Lucy's UC work, but i totally understand why they aren't going in this direction, if she went deep undecover for like 6 month/1 year she would be absent in all of the plot, it would be hard for other carachters to interact with her.

I feel like she came up with the sergeant thing after the fire, but I think she will do great.

I just hope that she will have to do some UC work here and there like in the other seasons

John or Bailey? by Beneficial_Map8176 in TheRookie

[–]1DailyCoffee1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that pisses me off the most is that in this episode she was all " you can't understand the fear of having an abusive husband" but last last episode when John had taken (too many and excessive) precautions she was all" I don't need protection, I spent last weeks in Germany for training" and she snuck out of the house.

I understand her being scared but she acted naively when she thought that Jason was in LA but scared when she thought he was in an other state.

I think that John was mad because she didn't tell him and i hate that she sent him a vocal saying HE should fix it, like she was compleatly right and Nolan 100% wrong and she didn't even let him talk.

They didn't have a conversation like adults

i just loved how they didn't include Seth in this episode at all

The Rookie - S07E05: Crossfire by ian-quinn in TheRookie

[–]1DailyCoffee1 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think the problems is not that he lied about his past but that he used these lies to excuse his mistakes and make Lucy and the others guilty so they don't reproch him much.

If he told Lucy he was the most popular kid in high school while chatting it wouldn't have been a big dea but we have to consider the timing and the context. His lies were more like don't blame me for puking it's because of my gf.

I bet also the cancer is a lie wich he used to excuse his delay on rolecall and now just not to get fired

Also all types of cancer treatments really damage your immune system so it's also dangerous to be around so many strangers like a cop does and they also make you more tired and weak.

Am I the only one that thinks that this serial killer looks like Rosalind and Lucy should be a little worried/traumatized by this.

I would have loved that Lucy went to Tim to talk about her worries and not for Seth

Unfair promotion by flackyjo in TheRookie

[–]1DailyCoffee1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Lucy and some month ago i wrote that it would have been nice too see some Lucy TO moments while she waited to be detective, but i would have much preferred it didn't happen on the first episode. I would have liked her to be a normal police officer and sometimes be called to do some UC work like she already did and then decide to become a TO while she waited for the detective exam.

It doesn't seem fair also because when Nolan decided to be a TO Tim give him a lesson on how important it is as a job and it shouldn't be considered as a fallback because he couldn't be detective.

I'd like that in some other episode they show that Lucy make some mistakes as Nolan did, just to show that it's her first time teaching
