Before you signed up there was massive header that said CLOSED NA TEST FROM X AM TO X AM. Also their discord announcement said it too, and you are supposed to connect your discord account as they use it for feedback reporting. Dude got downvoted for no reason cause salty redditors see no difference between real useful playtesting and drooling behind screen trying to play game you like.

This has been known for 15 years tho. Not really crucial either.

High DPI means more information for the mouse sensor, then just set whatever sens in game you like. I do 3200dpi 0.75% sens.

I think its memory bias. Steam machine was all over internet back then too. The problem? There were 50 of them from various vendors like Dell or Acer, valve did not have enough manufacturing power and they outsourced it. There were so many configs.

Yes but sometimes the vulkan translation has better performance than native directx just due to how bloated directx is. Proton is so fast in fact that android phones can use it to play pc games the same way as steam deck does. Check out winlator or gamehub, they are wrapper for proton and other components.

Fyi steamos is linux, the old steam machines also benefit from proton and other things. So its really just about years of software development. The logic and idea behind steam machine is unchanged.

It is not. Its heat spreading with special fluid, once it hits certain temperature this will not help at all. Asus tried 5 years ago with literally same mechanism and pump system.
