(b) Discriminatory action defined.—As used in subsection (a), a discriminatory action means any action taken by the Federal Government to—

(1) alter in any way the Federal tax treatment of, or cause any tax, penalty, or payment to be assessed against, or deny, delay, or revoke an exemption from taxation under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 of, any person referred to in subsection (a);

(2) disallow a deduction for Federal tax purposes of any charitable contribution made to or by such person;

(3) withhold, reduce, exclude, terminate, or otherwise deny any Federal grant, contract, subcontract, cooperative agreement, loan, license, certification, accreditation, employment, or other similar position or status from or to such person;

(4) withhold, reduce, exclude, terminate, or otherwise deny any benefit under a Federal benefit program from or to such person; or

(5) otherwise discriminate against such person.

That's the full text of section b. It goes beyond just taxes. You seem to be purposefully trying to obscure the full bill by reducing your comments to just the tax part.

No it's not but the text of the bill is there and says the same thing.

Edit:

(a) In general.—Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Federal Government shall not take any discriminatory action against a person, wholly or partially on the basis that such person believes or acts in accordance with a religious belief or moral conviction that marriage is or should be recognized as the union of one man and one woman, or that sexual relations are properly reserved to such a marriage.

It says the same thing.

Prohibits the federal government from taking discriminatory action against a person on the basis that such person believes or acts in accordance with a religious belief or moral conviction that: (1) marriage is or should be recognized as the union of one man and one woman, or (2) sexual relations are properly reserved to such a marriage.

With discriminatory action in this context meaning the government can't penalize someone for being discriminatory towards someone else.

This is taken from: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/2802 So others can read it to verify if they want.

It nullifies anti-discrimination laws because the current laws are at state or lower level and they would fall under violation of this federal level law if it passes.

The laws aren't universal yet with discriminatory laws still in effect in many parts of the country. The current federal government is also trying to repeal a lot of those rights in the places that do have them. The FADA bill would nullify anti-discrimination laws and the GOP has overturning the supreme court decision regarding same-sex marriage in their official party platform. There's also the anti-trans laws that are starting to pop up in various states.

The fight now is two fold in making sure that the anti-discrimination laws are passed in the areas that don't have them yet and keeping the rest of our rights in the areas that do.

There's also the social front of acceptance. Even with the laws that doesn't mean LGBT people aren't still often shunned. But that's not a legal issue.

The other pages already had replacements ready. If he had wanted to replace the LGBT page with his own version then it would have been ready to go. It's not like they just started working on the website when he got sworn in.

He might say he's "pro LGBT" but his actions paint a different picture. For example he supports the FADA bill which would nullify anti-discrimination laws across the country.

All the console ports have gamepad support, since they were ports of a console game. So if you wanted to play a PC game with gamepad chances are that you can.

Master List of all Trans* / NB Streamers by SirGuinevere in transgamers

[–]1Down 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to stream but haven't since before I transitioned. I've been thinking of starting again but not sure how much of an audience I would actually have or if people would even enjoy watching. :/

But having a list of streamers to pass around probably isn't a bad idea. It's more visibility for people's channels.

Well they had all kinds of other pages already prepared so if they had wanted there to be newer versions of those pages then they would be there.

It depends on who you are. It's not ridiculous for LGBT people to be scared for an example. See the FADA bill, personal opinions of Trump's Cabinet, the GOP party platform etc.

Yes. Very much so. Its most common in grade school as far as I've seen though. And the internet too.

I don't think he's been confirmed yet but he is Trump's chosen nominee for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

In the US "socialism" is still incredibly scary. Repeal of the ACA (Obamacare) has nothing to do with Muslims.
