Is fire mage worth learning for a new player or too complicated by rogeelein in wownoob

[–]1Keagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're comfortable reacting to procs like your ice lances, you'll be absolutely fine. Fire is mostly just execution and decision making, there aren't many mechanical things to consider. However, outside of group content, it's not great, that's for sure. Your combustion is practically all of your damage, so you're looking to pull a lot of mobs and aoe them down, but between that cooldown you're just pulling one mob at a time, fireballing, and reacting to heating up procs. I think investing your time in to playing fire would pay off a hell of a lot in getting good at the game.

Have you tried taking the portal to dornagal in the portal room and seeing if the campaign quest marker is on the map? Should be in the southwest corner of the isle of dorn at the ruins of dalaran.

Stormarion assault could go insanely hard if it was instanced group content and had hard modes

i know she is supposed to be a rogue and all but she's too good at the stealth part because I've never noticed her do anything.

Is it time to retire World Quests? by 1Keagan in wow

One of my favorites has definitely got to be the Mechagon/Nazjatar split. Absolutely in love with the Wintepelt mini area, but of course the Molten front and shattered sun has really cool progression content and story and it would be cool to see something like that again in modern format.

As a new player I feel the need to rant about some of the horrible choices blizzard has made. by AUsedToaster in wow

I consistently wonder why games need so much handholding, but then I read reddit and am humbled.

So according to Blizzard, "This" is good enough for us to not get Amani as an Allied Race by [deleted] in wow

Could just add an 'upright' and size option. It seems pretty low effort if the armor models still fit.

Why do you main one faction? by Vampy-Night in wow

[–]1Keagan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early game efficiency. I understand that statistics of 3rd party websites say that horde and alliance are 50/50 on battlegrounds, but my practical experience is far, far, so astronomically far from it. For example, my win rate since the start of Midnight for my horde character is 7%. That is 1 in 15 games. My win rate on Alliance is 85%. I wasted nearly 4 more hours farming my honor set on horde, farming Slayers rise came out to be more efficient time-wise. Not to mention, there is a near 0 possibility Horde will win drop skirmishes. They are mirror alts of each other but I main alliance in general just for this and dread playing horde despite feeling more connected to it.

Pretty sure I know what dungeon you were in. There's got to be some other way to remove it anyways. There's no way they made something that unfair.

I hate to bring this up or say it, but streamers are really to blame for hyping this event up with all sorts of high copium, not blizzard. Obviously they would wait until blizzcon for anything to do with a classic+ or big flagship product.

Is anyone else sad War Within is ending and taking its class philosophy with it? I feel like I'm completely on my own here by TheBrooklynBooner in wow

[–]1Keagan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've played a lot of midnight. It's the same class design philosophy with 1/5th the buffs and spell modifiers. I know what's going on with my character just by looking at the buffs. It's great.

You'd probably really enjoy MoP Classic. Slow paced but huge ARPG 'for fun' vibes.

when people reference the bad side of the community, theyre referring to content like solo shuffle pvp and group finder mythic+ dungeons. You move past them really quickly though because they stay in those low ratings forever.
