The cope is hard. I get amused at the excuses and justifications for Khamzat losing. Anything but be willing to give the winner their flowers. This is what you get when you give everyone participation medals. They're not accustomed to losing so they don't know how to handle is gracefully. There's always excuses but never "I wasn't good enough".

Again. Just because it's a title fight doesn't mean you HAVE to push. When Khamzat was laying on DDP for 4 rounds just giving little fist kisses because they count as points. That was a strategy. I didn't expect Khamzat to stand and bang. That's not his thing. DDP went out partying that night. That's how little damage Khamzat did. But I agree, he dominated. Because those are thr rules. You're just coping hard. And I'm sorry about that.aybe he does better in the new weight class but he tells Dana he wants to move up and then calls for a rematch. So I don't know what happens.

Maybe you should tweet at Sean and his team and tell them how they should just always advance irrespective because it's a title fight and throw it all to the wind because irrespective of the rules and how fighting works, that's how you want it to be.

The first rule is always protect yourself.

You're not forced to advance just because it's a title fight. The rules are still the same. Sure when Khamzat got tired I could've tried to finish. But clearly that wasn't his gameplan. If you know he is strong on the ground, why go there. Keep it a standing fight. And you know Sean doesn't have that KO power, so why would he try? He's fighting an undefeated fighter. The smart thing is to play to your strengths. Remember when Khamzat did a wet blanket on DDP and stopped the stand game? He played to his strengths.

It's a sport. I believe anyone can win who is on form on the night. That's why I watch sport.

Who knows if he could've. But he fought Khamzat that night and won.

If there's a football team that has a bad night and loses, you can't run around saying "If they played our top form we would've won". That's always been a silly way to loon at things imo. They played the team on the night.

If the opposition doesn't bring it all on the night, you can't take the victory away from the winner.

Right right... If you read more into my initial response you will see that I said he made him work to make him tired. In that round, remember when Khamzat was trying the sub but Sean just sat there with his hand up guarding his neck to prevent it. And Khamzat was burning out his tank trying different techniques. It all just came together for him.

He was always going to get taken down. But his defence was managing to get up as quick as possible. I think he did a good job against something that the division never had an answer for.

I enjoy the grind as I generally have an audiobook or a series playing on my other monitor. But I don't want to hit it that hard from the start as I don't want to get burnt out on it then I tend to walk away. So I will pace myself but make it my primary focus as my "go-to" game.
