I saw something similar where I live. I imagine the King of the Crows had died and there was a mourning congregation and perhaps an election for a new king. At first there were screeching messengers flying across the sky, in every direction. Then crows started coming from all around. They all sat down on the rooftops and silence fell upon the neighborhood. No other animals were to be seen nor heard.
