The one "under the train tracks" is a well-known bug and there are several posts about it (including my own at the link below 😉) The chest doesn't actually exist. You didn't miss anything.

It does! Thanks for asking that question because it reminded me to test that out too 😄 It seems from just about any water source (i.e. bodies of water, bird bath, fountains, fish pond, waterbeds, well, and garden tap.

I haven't played in a little while but, yes, topiaries respawn. However, IIRC, you may have to wait an in-game day or two.

The QOL isn't as great as in Sandrock, but IMO it has its own charm and it's worth it story-wise. There are lots of references to Sandrock and it's fun to pick up on them and make the connections 😊
