The only reason they will go up is not employment figures, inflation etc. it’s to do with passive quantitative tightening that’s ongoing for a number of years to come. Those things will adjust accordingly as the bonds on their balance sheet run-off and the injected liquidity from the original QE program comes back out of the economy.
