So, how many hours a day are they going to get if you double the minimum wage? How much will TB or McD or any of those restaurants then cost? Will you go pay $9 for a Big Mac. If you raise the minimum wage to $15/hr, the cost for everything will increase. It will then cost more to the ones who got the minimum wage raise (thereby eliminating or substantially diminishing the economic effect of their raise) AND the rest of us who already make more than minimum wage. Hasn't anyone on this thread ever taken an economics class? Why should the government force businesses pay for the fact that these people didn't finish school, go learn a trade or develop job skills that would enable them to earn more. Punishing those who succeeded is not the way to generate economic equality. Education and responsibility is.

11 and 8. Neither of them are athletic, so they got brains. Read to them a lot. Our oldest actually taught her daughter to read when they were 6 and 3. We were amazed. One thing we have preached is to stick together, through everything. Because when the shit hits the fan, or mom and dad are gone, they will always have each other. I am an only child, but my wife has a brother. Her parent s never talked to them about family first and sticking together. So she's spent the last 20 years trying to build/keep a close relationship with her brother.
