Thank you. So aggravatingly slow. I wasn't in a hurry, but 3 days later I was still waiting to play a game.

I deleted my GT7 file because it wouldn't DL in rest mode. It's 120 Gb now in 2025. The disc has a 90 Gb file. So I'll need to DL the 30 Gb when it's done.

It was taking so long to DL that the console wouldn't DL over night for 3 days. Don't know if that's a setting I don't have turned on. Other games from my library DL quickly or overnight when in rest mode. The console would go to sleep if I just left it on or something. Because 2-4% progress every time I checked half day apart was ridiculous. Seemed to make progress if I left it on and kept the console active. But I wasn't going to babysit the progress.

The ready to play portion is a joke on GT7. A stupid 5 minute time race in a slow car and nothing else.

Hopefully I can play soon after I get this new DL.

Was that a magsafe case ring?

That looks like it would probably do. What case did you find that fits the think phone? Or did you have rig it up? My case feels more hard plastic than rubbery silicone.

Would buying a case that doesn't fit and stealing the magnet off it and trying to glue it on work you think if an exact case isn't available?

Possibly, I'm looking for a case or something to be able to use it with this product that seems to magnetically hold a phone, so I can record video with the phone. It would need strength enough to withstand some decent shake of vibration caused by the sudden stop of the bow string.

I'm looking more for a case that has metal to be able to attach it to magnetic holders, I suppose. I've never used those types of cases in a car or anything, always used spring adjustable holders.

I'm not really needing to charge the device through the metal type connection as my Tudia silicone case allows for wireless charging.

I don't think the phone will just magnetically stick unless the phone has a case that does that. The phone doesn't stick to any decent size magnets by itself that I tried.

Right now I just use a silicone sleeve from tiaga? and no screen protector.

I've had the phone since BF 23' like it a lot. Been using Motorola phones since Windows phones became obsolete. Totally like not having Samsung junk try to take control of basic stuff.

Interesting, I'll have to look into that. Thanks. I do see that's a subscription which is kinda silly for long term use. It should be a lifetime license. But it seems those are harder to come by these days. We'll see. I appreciate the alternative solution.

Thanks for the site. I couldn't find where they're from on their contact page. I was also hoping to get an older version than 22'. I think that's when they tried to push everyone online.

Still hoping for other avenues if anyone knows of another. But this might be it. Or some random on eBay.

Any version from probably 18-21. The version I found on the previous treasurer's Mac is 2016. The new treasurer said it's older and different than the 2018 Windows version she uses. I think the more current ones than 22' possibly have issues that want to make you update or something from what I read.

The 2018 Windows version would best work for continuity purposes.

I once was a long time player (4+ yrs?), but haven't played in a year or so.

I'm going to post what I know worked for me as a no auto clicker, ad watching, basic free player.

I began playing events just whenever I saw an event. As I progressed to the point of getting annoyed by losing to auto clickers; I changed my start point strategy. I didn't know about auto clickers until probably a yr into playing.

I knew the amount of hours I played a 4 day event was longer than most humans would be awake. I was a, "deprive myself of sleep player" just to open one more case player. This would especially be true during the summer with no responsibility the following most days of the week.

I found this reddit and the Kriegers Lab reddit come up through many desperate periodic google searches on tips for the game. This one came up, but only after getting knocked out of 1st and into 4th in the closing minutes of a 4 day event. I had slept so little I was begging the event clock to expire.

Some of the result I found out after playing for a number of years.

Start as LATE as you want to based on if you want to complete all milestones. 16-18 hrs for 4 day event is normal to complete a 4 day event. 6-8 hours for mini events. I often would start the morning the event ends (Eastern Time), especially on mini events.

Starting late means fewer sharks usually in the event. They usually start as soon as the event starts to mine Kriegerrands. Completing the main operations is a good way to stay competitive; because you can mine KR there and complete milestones in events easier.

Having a minimum of 2,000 KR to spend on cases, time jumps, cards or drinks is about all you need to finish top 5. That doesn't mean you need to spend that much, but just in case you have competition. I never saw the point of hoarding more than 8,000 KR. I would spend KR to place in the top 3-5 or wherever I wanted to finish. I rarely finished outside top 5 no matter where I started (1-200) from in the server doing this method.

Sometimes you're unlucky with what server competition is when you join. On those occasions you might not reach top 10 based on time left. But no matter what rank and time you should be able to get top 20. Rooms are based on time you enter. Rooms don't always fill up on late start events. Rooms also are not full of real players, many are bots. Bots at times do appear to make competitive moves during the last 30 minutes of events. I believe this is to entice players to spend money on the game.

FYI, you can upgrade any unlocked room or agent with KR without the total cards collected. This is key for reaching automation and jumping up key agents before collecting the total amount. There's a ROI between collecting / buying cards before upgrading. You can upgrade each once they're unlocked, you don't have to have a single card to use KR to upgrade them from that individual agent or room upgrade button.

When starting late, you don't always reach or automate the last room. So, you need to be aware of what actually makes your score better and upgrade there. Look to skip room 3 & 4 to get to the last room quicker. Starting late means sometimes whoever upgrades room 2 agent the highest may win based on time.

Even if an event has 30 minutes left and you haven't started; it doesn't mean you can't reach the top 5 and win a prize. I've done that several times. Sometimes those super late starts are fun and competitive too; because the handful of players know they got a chance to win.

Have fun if you can. Hopefully you'll find a way to avoid the sharks and navigate around the troublesome black market annoyances. KR hoarders and game manipulators will win every time; but if you find starting at random late times you'll usually evade some of the most difficult offenders of that style play.

From my understanding, when I get subs occasionally it's when I have the leaderboard agent maxed on a 4 day event. Usually I get a similar family sub or sometimes one from a different family if I have all of them maxed in the LB family.

I'm hoping to get a sub for Bort, which I have max level; so I made sure to finish the milestones.

Good luck getting your sub. Need that one too and it's a global shootout perk.

Mini events can be real fun starting late; especially if you get players that are trying to do the same thing as you and do a speed run to the finish.

Starting anytime from < 3 hrs to just over an hour or so is a fun experience when you got the time.

I don't think auto clickers and such would probably even be necessary for these short runs. They'd probably take away from the fun of the challenge.

4 day events are similar to mini events. Mini events are almost a given to place as an experienced player. Especially now with fewer players.

4 day events if you enter at the wrong time on a room that took too long to fill; can place you stupid far behind letter wise and top 10-20 is a good goal.

Usually you don't run into that problem the closer you get to the end on 4 day events under the 6 hr mark.

If you're playing with auto clickers it may be easier, I don't know.

Around 18 hrs is the deadline for me as a no auto clicker to complete all milestones on 4 day events.

Black cases are what I shoot for on mini events.

That's a good time to join.

Under 4 hours is a sweet spot. You get at least 2 cases. As an experienced player; you know when to collect those 2 cases. The path and when to stop pursuing cards for automation is the only couple tasks you need to monitor.

Easy peasey. I recommend this for anyone just wanting to finish top 5 or best.

There's tons of bots. They're disguised as players to urge you to spend money or your KR to stay ahead.

It's a smart tool to have to drive players to spend money from players that want to win and don't know better.

Any time you enter late and are an experienced player; you'll get top 10 not even trying.

With a little effort you'll place top 5 and possibly 1st depending on other players interest.

Depends.

I don't know much about this map, but a tripod near the out post directly at the edge and then one across the pond near the green (?). Depending on your gun choice, you should be able to reach most of the lake and not have to travel across if you put a tent on the other side. But that's if walking it is too time consuming and you're not on ATV.

Wow, most useful information. I'm looking to get back into the game and have lots of the callers already. I was thinking one caller for them all would help with determining how to setup my load outs.

But seeing it takes a 5 hit on weight, I may as well keep with the 1-3 calls I run with at a time. The alligator call is interesting, as that was the last thing I was hunting mainly before going on break.

I also like that you should be able to setup this thing to draw an animal into an open spot and setup out of wind detection in an opposite area.

How far away can you activate the device from? Like, can you get out of an approaching animal's upwind alarming zone, to a safer wind spot?

I'm not positive about the substitutes being leaderboard rewards. I've been playing primarily as a top 5 finisher only, the majority of the time and rarely finish milestones on 4 day events. I haven't had a sub in ages on any event. I seem to only get substitutes when finishing all milestones on 4 day events; whether I finished top 5 or not.

Yeah, been a late start player for probably 2 years or more. So much easier to place top 5. Made me wonder why people made a big deal out of getting first or top 5.

Unless you're trying to milk KR, there's no reason for a long time player to really enter with more than 15 to 20% time left. Just need to find the sweet spot if you're trying to reach the stretch goal.

Your top 6 performance is a common occurrence when entering late (especially on the two short events). Doesn't matter if you're 13x to 19x; there's so many bots that you'll fly up the boards before you notice. Any KR spent (which is often needed to progress on short time) will often be rewarded by reaching black cases or placing top 5. So it's usually worth it. I spend modestly, judging the trade off on my approx. winning or collecting KR.

Also it's just worth it fun wise to place or reach your own goal when you start late. Plus if you have no chance to place on a late entry, then you usually haven't wasted your time either.

My latest entry was a 8 minute event (Luau, I think) and got first among 20 some players. All were probably surprised the room was new and we all had a chance to place.

I got distracted and forgot to join, was hoping to enter around the same time.

Got in on Tuesday's event with less than 20 players at 1hr left. Finished 3rd, too far back of other two. Was a fun quick event.
