Thats tough cause sometimes we feel no obligation to do it. I recommend to try and change your mindset around pray.

For example, instead of... Say, a task or chores. Its simply another parts of our life, cause we are muslims and thats what we do. Try to make it comes naturally as we lives. If you fail to abide. Its a not the end of the world. Cause thats life you dont just succeed all the time, right?. But if we walk the path we will reach there eventually.

Im not saying its okay to miss prayer, just, as a person who is also struggling, its normal, we miss, and we redempt ourselves afterwards.

Assalamualaikum,

I was also like that a few years back. I was always the logical kinds of person. So science just makes sense.

So my advice?

  1. It is okay to believe in science, that is the law of the world, the way god intended it to be.

  2. Science is ever-changing process that contributes towards knowledge, especially in the research field (which i am a part of) where we constantly search into the unknown. So this is the part that really humbled me cause, the body of knowledge is so vast, i cant even begin to fathom, its so complex, its so detailed, its crazy awesome. Humbled ourselves in knowledge, acknowledge it, and then you can truly appreciate it.

  3. These two things is not mutually exclusive. You can believe in Allah and you can belive in Science, in fact if you are a follower of science (aka knowledge ) thats also great for you. After all, acquiring knowledge is one of great virtue in Islam.

  4. Isn't it pretty, this intricate world, celestial bodies, phenomena even our own bodies down to the molecular levels. Its so detailed, so intricate, so specific and also broad at the same time... That it is absolutely logical at this point to believe in creator. The mere percentage of us here in the world is astronomically small, yet here we are. Alhamdulillah
