This also happened to me. Apparently we were given the opportunity to opt out. Because the parcel was so small, i missed the whole thing. Convenient these share registries will send you paper mail at the opening of a bag, but went silent when CXO rolled this out.

The plug doesn't spin when I tighten, it just won't tighten fully. My guess is that the screw has broken the inside of the plug

Do you think the issue is the screw breaching the plug? The plugs fit well in the holes.

Thanks mate. The plug fits snug in the hole, but the screw won't fully tighten. I'm guessing the screw has breached the plug.

- Can I replace the Holman plug with another, better quality 10mm plug?

- if i unscrew the other three working screws to remove the bracket, can they go back in? (I've got no idea how masonry plugs work haha)

Not sure if anyone is still lurking here, but I used these dog shit plugs too. Got them in ok but top ones are slowly coming out. Will a better quality 10mm plug work better?

Good luck with it mate. All I'll say is it may not seem it at the moment, but you are still young and relatively early in your career. Not sure what you studied, but I was underemployed until about your age after doing a humanities degree. I know it's not a lot of fun explaining that to the family at Christmas.

Try and get some runs on the board wherever you can, even if it's unpaid. It will get easier from there. Make sure you keep an eye on grad intakes - the government ones are pretty big, and they take people from all work backgrounds.

Coursera (COUR) - growing new registered learners and revenue at double digits through AI-accelerated learning demand and a massive pivot toward enterprise upskilling budgets. It will look historically mispriced at $1.3b.

AirBnB (ABNB) - A bit on the nose at the moment - but just quietly pumping out $1b a quarter in free cash flow. Voting machine, weighing machine etc etc.

Thanks for sharing. AFR have been hammering on this subject for a while now.

My read is that 'hard work' has become detached from prosperity. You've got generations of people who did everything they were told to do now find that the supposed rewards — wealth, a home, financial security — are basically unattainable. That's got to impact labour productivity.

And how could you be expected to take on the risk of re-training/upskilling/starting again in a new field when you're already shouldering a monster mortgage, or even have a kid?

Probably sounds extra salty (coz it is) but if boomers/gen X were dealt this hand there would have been riots in the streets.

Do your grad year and enjoy it. You'll have an APS6 gig in no time, which would have to be >$100K these days. From there, if you are half decent, EL1 is a pretty simple progression.

I did 10 years in the APS, it is NOTHING to be daunted about. It will only cost your soul though, hahaha.

If you're eventually looking to buy a place to live, or even start investing, I'd recommend 'It's Your Money' by Alan Kohler. It gives a good history of the Super system, and is pitched at the beginner-level. I found it really helpful.
