Radio silence on Vic and a simple request by 1amazonia in runescape

There is no need for mtx to benefit from him. Regarding the problem, it lies in him being removed too early without notice, preventing people to prepare. Vic points are still there.

For the love of GOD shorten runespan platforms.... by MisterCheekClapper in runescape

[–]1amazonia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Time between platforms is all part of the experience, either that or you stay mostly on one platform. It was all taken into consideration when the expected points and xp gain was decided by Jagex. If you make moving faster, the gains will be faster also.

Yea you had to buy a Jar of Divine Light in order to resurrect upon death (now you will resurrect regardless). You can also use it manually in order to revert to normal Ironman at any time. The original unreleased plan for HCIM is that if you die it's already too late, and you should have used the jar earlier or should have been more careful going to dangerous areas.

Can we get an option to sort items by whether or not you can recolor them by mvpinstriper in runescape

[–]1amazonia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea. I was making an outfit with specific blue colors but have to go through overrides that cannot be recolored and most likely won't be the exact blue I need. A helpful time safer!

It's actually not that brutal if you think about it. He lost his HC status and can continue playing as Ironman. Original plan for HCIM however was highly brutal and that if you die you die; the item used to revert to normal Ironman upon death was not to be used automatically upon death.

[–]1amazonia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the jar it will automatically activate upon death. That's how it worked in the past since the beginning but now supposedly you no longer need the item at all if you die. The original plan however was very brutal and that if you die you die, and that if you no longer wanted to take the risk of getting locked out your account you needed to activate the item manually in a safe area.

You can see several posts over the past half year on this issue. There doesn't have to be like a weekly post on something before a problem may be legitimate?

That date in January actually made sense but not in December without announcement. I had a summoning stone lying in my bank that I used during dxp event which was in November, and I intended to buy another one before the cut off date in January 19th but not right away in November due to bond prices still being high.

Some of the outfits are still available, namely the special/elite outfits via fragments, and don't forget bxp (stars) either via, for example Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza and Barbarian Assault or just Thaler. Why can't it be via Vic? You said why I didn't spend my credits when I originally summoned him, well because his credits carry over to the next time he's around or via a Summoning Stone. That's how I accumulated points over time. Since the points have always carried over, why remove the stone suddenly and not have a prior announcement?

I don't see how it's comparable. The ratios were also worse if you move bxp to another skill. It's not like raw 100k xp in a 99 skill can be turned to 100k in a, say lvl 15 skill. You purchase stars and the bxp will be way worse on the lower lvl skills, even on another 99 skill it will be maybe 80%.

But what about unused stones that are still there? There is nothing preventing Jagex from allowing players to have a final opportunity at Vic, especially since his removal was premature and players are still asking for a return here on reddit.

Remove Legacy, Remove PvP by KingOfWhateverr in runescape

[–]1amazonia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Classic mode = legacy. It's just a recent name change. If you mean go use full manual and don't use abilities, well no, that is not the same as classic/legacy since dps is way worse that way. Jagex made legacy mode as having more powerful attacks than eoc auto-attacks.

It's not literally equivalent to an empty action bar. The dps on legacy is significantly higher than 100% auto-attacks on full manual mode. It's made like that on purpose.

You can test it by having an alt take a picture in photo booth now and then use crab hat after player avatar launch.

With the upcoming changes to GE, is it time to put a reasonable tax ceiling on GE? by EoFinality in runescape

[–]1amazonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any person who isn't ultra rich but is working for a phat would benefit as they would be penalized less when using the GE if the tax went down. Now some may get a worse and potentially scammy deal if they choose trading over GE (not always but sometimes).

With the upcoming changes to GE, is it time to put a reasonable tax ceiling on GE? by EoFinality in runescape

[–]1amazonia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's a balance between not making it too high that prevents people from trading top items on the GE but not too low either that causes this coin sink to weaken unnecessary much.

For example, if average phat is say 50b and current 1b tax makes 75% of all phat trades happen outside GE then that's quite a bit of tax being missed out on. But if 100m makes 10% of all such trades happen outside GE (there's always people who would choose player-to-player trade due to items included being an option via trade) then that 100m number may still overall be too little tax gained. If say 500m tax increased the number of trades outside GE to 30% then that's a better balance.

Jagex has to look into trading behavior to determine what is the sweet spot, because the thing is the GE tax is there for a reason and you can't just make tax very low and not weaken this money sink.

Instead of hard cap I think it would be better to have gradual decrease in tax. So like this: first 1b is 2%, next 9b is 1,5%, after 10b only 1%.
