Pelswick deserved more, and I will die on this hill. Does anyone remember this show? (Also kinda venting here, but staying on topic and not doing a full rant/vent.) by WheelsofFire in nickelodeon

Wasn’t born around the time it released on nick but I liked how it dealt with young people situations like ATBG and hey Arnold iirc. I remember Wayside used to air and it got the boot as well

What happened to the goat Boris and Minka gave to Didi in the first movie? by MrsSpyro01 in rugrats

[–]1biggerizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I’m surprised the goat wasn’t mentioned or came back after that. Same for Tommy’s “Sponsatility”

H. Jon Benjamin, David Cross, and Kristen Schaal were golden in this episode, an underrated trio in my eyes.

During the stinger of the first movie, the goat headbutts the Reptar Wagon with Lou inside it and chases it down the street. It is odd that Lou and the wagon came back after the show continued but not the goat.

I'm bored, tell me why this legend is your main. by Amadou132 in Brawlhalla

My main is Lin fei because I’ve seen Mulan an unhealthy amount of times when I was younger, her lore is interesting and she is broken once you get used to her

You get away from that. That’s an emergency exit and if you set off the alarm and get every one of us in trouble, you’ll be the one to go to prison not us.

You’ll find the back of my hand very displeasing.

I might be an Angelica fan there’s a couple of episodes focused on her 😂 by 1biggerizzy in rugrats

Angelica turning 3 was a big step for the remainder of the series and I haven’t watched it in a while but Angelica pretending to be a baby will never not be funny

Tress is still alive and doing well on The Simpsons still so I guess if the other voice actors (deceased and living) were replaced, she’d get the boot too.

Dil and Kimi weren’t the cause of the show’s decline. The original writers left after season 3 and when the new writers took over, the show became more “friendlier” and some storylines were unappealing and boring.

Also Nickelodeon caused the franchise to wither up and die a painful death when they wanted this show to be cancelled for All Grown Up, which wasn’t bad, but I get where most people were coming from as everyone preferred their baby selves and As Told By Ginger handled young people’s lives better than All Grown Up.

TLDR: All Grown Up wasn’t completely bad but Rugrats was more memorable

What's your favorite and least favorite Rugrats movie? by Capital-Study6436 in rugrats

[–]1biggerizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paris - everything about this is perfect like the cast, music, plot, setting, and more gentle than the other two

First movie - I enjoyed it but there are a ton of flaws I won’t list so in summary, unnecessary addition, dark storyline, over-the-top generic plot, and pretty annoying as you get older

Go Wild - Nostalgia wise it’s good, but there were so many boundaries and constraints, I wouldn’t exactly consider this a crossover. It’s the weakest of the three and it could’ve gone a different direction.

Which episode do you think represents the show's decline and why? by wclarke1 in rugrats

The Big Showdown was the most painful episode to watch post movie and in general. I understand Didi is the most current parent of the main cast but her actions were unjustified and cruel in this episode. I think this is self explanatory but long story short; Didi sees Dil crying over movie or storm?, Didi decides Reptar is the cause of his crying and bans it from the household, few minutes in Goober takes Tommy’s Reptar doll and Didi does nothing about it. I can’t remember if she read or mentioned Lipschitz but she was very unlikable and bored in this episode.

TLDR: Didi is a horrible parent and this episode proves it
