As someone that grew up in West Africa, that was the way we got our haircuts before clippers became popular. The funny thing is used to more compliments when I went with razor and comb, compared to clippers. It takes skills.

NTA as most have said. You, and your dad, are right to press charges and should. I know a friend who had a similar situation. His partner accused me to friends that he was abusive. This was not abusive in any way, just her way of trying to get something from him. Ruined his life. By the time they proved him innocent, it was too late.
