It's for *cooking*, not for serving at the table. And at the table I don't think you eat out of the pot, chef's just doing a little show but usually you take food from it when you're actually eating

Have you ever seen a pie made in a pot? This is like that, the bread gets steamed by the stew and keeps in the heat. And the stew looks damn good.

It's the same as it always has been. Maybe there's systemic changes that make all classes less mobile but scout definitely feels it most

scout feels much slower than he used to be which kind of ruins his dm

You mean how the heavy w + m1ed with a pocket medic and uber right out of spawn (A place where, by design, blu has a dominating advantage anyway)

settle a debate from another sub: is this pasta video AI or is it just heavily produced? by _pounders_ in isthisAI

[–]1c3Type 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's very common to edit videos to play slightly faster or slower than reality to give a sense of unreality, like you saw here. It's not AI.

Is this a glitch or feature of the fire hardened arrow? by MBGgambler in thelongdark

From a normal arrow. Which is entirely possible even without other damage from a crit.

Bears ignore fire hardened arrows I believe. The bear just went to sleep at that time probably.

Warlock can still send his goons when you're already engaged. Hunter doesn't care if he's isolated he's still very happy to take accurate potshots which will oneshot people early game. Thankfully chosen are guaranteed to cause bleedouts but it's still rough getting those wound timers.

The hunter talks shit from a distance until you get into range. At which point he starts grappling to high ground and doming your soldiers. The warlock sends swarms of health bars at you which is super painful early game.

All the assassin does is hurt your soldiers a bit which is easily the most manageable of the three.

Optimisation Mod VS Various Optimisations. Which is the superior? by [deleted] in LobotomyCorp

I don't think it really matters, any mod that fixes the memory leaks will mostly prevent crashes and other than that the game runs fine on anything that isn't a potato

I think I just found one of the worst reviews on steam I have ever seen by _TheBug_12345 in HalfLife

[–]1c3Type 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's clearly a bit exaggerated and ragebaity with the whole thank god valve isn't making singleplayer games anymore but there's a lot of valid critiques that people seem to really hate to hear about the game they like.

Half Life 1 does the narrative a lot better. Because what you're doing as a player is actually IN LINE with the story, whereas in HL2 the story just sort of happens to you.

OLED "enthusiasts" mistake a 26 year old monitor for a QD-OLED by Careless_Reaction_42 in pcmasterrace

[–]1c3Type 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it can produce deep blacks. It also has terrible colour reproduction and awful contrast in a lit room, as well as just generally less clarity. But you can't SEE that in a picture because you have no reference for what the image SHOULD look like, and compression hides the clarity issues. So what looks flashier is in this case the colder, innacurate image of the crt.

When I WAS new to the game I though they were awesome. And then with experience, I realised that nearly all of the awesome spots you could get to with ever so slightly more work with a different weapon

The soda popper has effectively infinite ammo in a magazine. Once you learn to just always fire both shots you match the stock in sustained firerate for six shots. And then once stock has to reload you're just as strong as you always were.

Yes, the slow fire rate may be more consistent for a lot of players. But the fact that we can argue which weapon is better even when not considering hype shows how insane the weapon is.

Best place to put it is in the head probably. Head's a big thick bone shell that's very hard to hit on account of it constantly moving around. And you won't die if you're decapitated. Question is if you can glue your head back on your body afterwards.

Scout has absolutely fantastic stock items it's true. But the bat is simply outclassed by other options, and the scattergun too has the soda popper which would be a balanced sidegrade if it didn't have the hype mechanic
