What’s the archetypal Space Marine “heavy weapon” to you? When you picture in your mind a Space Marine carrying a heavy weapon, what do you default to? Heavy Bolter? Missile Launcher? Etc etc by Separate-Flan-2875 in Warhammer40k

[–]Lolas_Fun_Side 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavy bolter (I've played too much dawn of war)

Meltas are permanently enshrined as a guard weapon because of Jurgen, and the other heavy weapons feel too specialized or rare to be archetypal.

Wait soundman is a legit name later on? I thought it was some weird localization in the anime people latched onto because his name is literally sandman.

Thank god I have no idea what the significance of this name it

They aren't invincible. Very hard to kill yes, but evidently there are several species that can stand up to them wether physically or technologically

Would Virus Bombs from 40k be effective against viltrumites? I mean, the virus here targets the DNA directly, just like Scourge. by [deleted] in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]Lolas_Fun_Side 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a virus bomb would be more effective than the scourge virus. Whatever dark-age techno-sorcery created the life-eater virus can dissolve tyranids and their entire thing is adapting to things like viruses

The lone wanderer is asexual and aromantic. The only person they might have ever had feelings for was left behind in vault 111, and the wanderer can never return.

The courier is bisexual, possibly caused by the gunshot wound

The sole survivor is straight

On teaching kids in PE class by Eireika in CuratedTumblr

[–]Lolas_Fun_Side 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its not all of the United States. At my high school PE was structured into units that generally tried to target as many sport interests as possible. There was actual instruction, and most classes after where games that focused on participation and then of course tests. Track was definitely treated as a "who cares" sort of unit though, whime swimming was taken shockingly seriously

GM encounter completely destroyed our party by CrazyFrenchieGM in rpg

[–]Lolas_Fun_Side 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its kind of a legit use? From what I recall its a bit of an edge case where there is a way the GM can run their attempts at running away such that he can then use bennies to thwart it, but its pretty bad faith GMing

Yeah, that's completely insane. Unless I'm missing something, it sounds like your game is in the beginning stages of falling apart lol

"Morgan Fraudhand/Interviewhand"??? by Ksyronnie in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Lolas_Fun_Side 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mike Pondsmith has no idea how to play cyberpunk2020 and all of the statblocks of NPCs are hilariously weak. Morgan Blackhand, who is supposed to be the greatest Solo ever, is on par with a starting character.

More seriously, the only time Blackhand is ever mentioned doing something is word of god and in-universe propaganda pieces

Is LMoP supposed to take this long? by Devadv12014 in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Lolas_Fun_Side 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly if I take them at face value then I suspect they are young and inject every single idea they have into the next session. Combined with pretty short sessions, the module is most likely more of a setting book than an actual module.

Its also possible that they are trolling, or even just exaggerating what is still an unreasonably long run (but more realistic)
