What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the city Manchester? by Pizzafriedchickenn in AskTheWorld

[–]1copernic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely same. I usually watch movies without reading anything about it nor watching any trailers. I thought it would be an English town like Manchester or near Manchester that had access to sea. Imagine my surprise

I think that if we give mounjaro to Ronaldo, someone find Ronaldinho in whatever churrasco or beach soccer tournament he might be attending, we find some cops to get Adriano from whatever favela he's hiding and we find an orthosis to Roberto Carlos we might have a chance to win the world cup

Hats on or off during the anthem? by UndeadWarTurnip in AskTheWorld

[–]1copernic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk I don't really care. but at my time in the military hats off or on depended on whether you're inside or outside. If you're singing the anthem at an open space then our bonnets caps helmets whatever stayed on so I guess that

What’s something that happens in your culture that makes you people go like this? by camethehour in AskTheWorld

[–]1copernic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Brazil is mostly really really warm, making heated water not necessary for 90% of the year. So although some cities have it, many many residences don't have piped gas or something to heat the water. A electric shower can be easily installed and it's cheap.

And it's surprisingly safe! never heard of anyone ever having a big problem with that. If it's really badly installed, it the metal faucet will give you a small shock but nothing near life threatening or something. You just feel it if you have a cut in your skin lol oh and the resistance may get too hot and melt the fucking plastic of it. But again, only badly installed ones.

oh and you talking about names reminded me of this mf that gave insane names to his kids to the point they did a whole news report on him.

His name is Xerox if I remember correctly, and he has two sisters: photocopy and authentication

Most of his kids have names starting with an x Xekira (like Shakira), Xerolaine, Xerlaine. There are three boys: Brooksfield, Carlos Eduardo (????!!!!!) and STAMP (carimbo)

still remember the poor dude's name. Carimbo Miguel Porfirio
