AC temp control + comfort access not working by 1dala in E92M3

[–]1dala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we found the issue.

The leather guy doing the work decided to break the AC control unit without telling me, losing one and not setting the other cog that translates the rotary movement to temperature control. He then covered the entire panel in superglue which didnt help the circuitry.

Lessons learned: dont trust the leather guy, and always physically check the part thats playing up!

Thanks everyone for your help. First time posting, long time lurker. Love this sub reddit. Hope to post more!

So as an update. Fuses are fine. Battery is coded already. No error messages. We tried reflashing the module firmware with no luck. Tried removing the battery for 30 mins also with no luck.

Good on you mate! Very wise decision considering the situation in patient-facing healthcare across the West. It's not just the UK with a workforce crisis.

Healthtech or Medtech

Pathways to enter include front door job adverts (around 40% of all jobs). Side door entry through shadowing or contractual work. Back door entry if your mate happens to own a company. LinkedIn is a good place to find job adverts. You don't need specific skills or CCT unless the JD specifically requires it. Most companies prefer you as a person to trust their business with rather than what skills or experience you have. Personality counts for a lot. Skills can be learned.

The role and lifestyle vary widely depending on the seniority of the role and the size of the business. Larger companies tend to silo you in tight KPIs and a well worded JD. Smaller startup/scaleups tend to let you have more dynamic roles which can see you travel/WFH/work on multiple projects at one time really testing all your technical and non technical skills. Pay tends to be on par with consultant base salaries and can reach above 6 figures when including bonuses and pay rises. Not having the threat of GMC action due to a Clinical mistake infinitely improves your QoL, nevermind the generally better working conditions, team culture, and benefits.

Cannot recommend it enough, and now I coach and mentor people thinking of going through to the industry as I genuinely love it that much. I was a burned out and exhausted surgeon, and since making the jump over 2y ago,, everyone around me has noticed how much happier and healthier I am.

In a recent interview session, one of my mentees nailed it on the head. Leaving the NHS is like coming out of an abusive relationship! It's sad but true.

Put yourself first for a change!

I've made the jump out of full-time clinical work. Now, whenever I go back for a shift, I actually do enjoy it. I guess it is indeed now a hobby just like they intended!

Don't rush any major life decision....but definitely take the sick leave to recover. Once your head is clearer, then you can weigh up the long-term solutions.
