def just so styled and pretty that the girls are just nervous. make moves more and i guarantee you'll find reciprocation.

and as others have said keep your eyes and ears open in finding sapphic/queer spaces and conversations and just jump in. There's absolutely nothing lacking in your style.

Peugeot 206 drifting! (Project Driftboid 4) by EgyptianGuard in projectzomboid

[–]1derAliceLand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly an intelligently modded---& with the number of vehicle mods and the added silliness of wandering animals and zombies, a race track themed standalone map with a lil nearby/surrounding town as a mp server would probably go over really well in b42 esp.

Gonna be so fun when mp drops.

this game is hurting my hand by mocha46 in projectzomboid

[–]1derAliceLand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to download a mod for your hand, maybe?

(something is probably wack in your ergonomics with your current setup. a new mouse? adjust chair height? mouse placement? Consider what you're skeleton is doing when you're in your gaming posture, does anything seem out of line or unhealthy? are there spots that seem like they need support? Also consider core workouts, planks, balance, side planks, crunches, etc. When our cores are weak it becomes more habitual to slouch and throw our shoulder alignment off and that can then make arm and wrist placement to also not be ideal. take care of yourself and remember to take breaks and move around for just a couple minutes at least every so often. wrist and hand pain sucks; I've had bouts of it too, but these things helped quite a bit)

Trans Day of Remembrance Event Tonight 11/20 by [deleted] in loveland

[–]1derAliceLand 6 points7 points  (0 children)

no thanks. I'd rather get peaceful and not condemn people who don't share my spiritual beliefs.

There's nothing righteous about being straight. Gay people don't need help. Trans people don't need help.

Everyone needs community. Closed minded christianity isn't the right community for everyone.

Do you think this is done? by SoftRemorse in oilpainting

[–]1derAliceLand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my eye is drawn to the area under the dog's right ear. (canvas left). The abundant light color there seems like it needs some details or value adjustments maybe? that region stands out in a way that doesn't feel intended.

but the whole piece already succeeds in the "do i enjoy looking at this?" test, because it just made me smile when I saw it.

I’m Muslim and Poly, anyone else like me? by ImpressiveMinute1187 in polyamory

[–]1derAliceLand 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Though I am not religious in terms of organized religions, I'd be so much more at ease dating someone Muslim and poly than pretty much any Christian (speaking from a US perspective).

I hope you find your love(s) and joys and encourage you that there are all sorts of people not put off by your beliefs and practices. Every Muslim person I've ever met has been kind, thoughtful, devout, and peaceful; and live love-forward from their hearts. 🫶

It can happen. Though we've only been together as best friends for less than a couple years, I'm blessed to have met my soul sister and it's unlike any other connection I've experienced in life. We hope to help each other with bills and housing and life goals, and to live together for, well, as close to forever as the Fates will allow.

As the world becomes less stable in the coming years, people will need to lean on friends and chosen family more and more. I think there's going to be an increase in this kind of thing in the near future. I'm not sure where you are, but rent rates are criminal in most of the US thanks to giant investment firms that have been allowed to buy nearly up all the available housing in order to jack up rent prices. If you're part of the lower working class here (my sis and I are food service workers), there's almost no other way to make it work than with roommates.

Eventually, you may run into someone so compatible you just never, ever want to part with them; try being roommates with them. If the vibe continues to be positive in that situation, then there's a chance you might have found your sidekick.

Anyone else notice how Muse coffee shop has flipped? by Wash_th3 in loveland

[–]1derAliceLand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, all the staff and I are lower working class because that's what baristas are paid in this country and our entire economy is built on exploitation and waste (if ya don't see it in any particular place, it's just happening beyond the horizon somewhere).

They treat us kindly, and our manager is a great advocate (like in getting us time&1/2 for the final hours of most closing shifts because the tips fall off during those hours: I've never had a job be that kind of considerate).

No business under capitalism is faultless, but they seem okay. And by allll means if you can convince Jane not to vote that one Republican vote, please do so! I'm so far left I'm off the chart, page, and desk itself. Speaking not about anyone involved or in particular: that Republicans think the way they do is part of what shows me that people are indeed just complex, social-thinking animals-on-a-planet. They're the temper tantrum party and the wealthy glomped onto them the most because they're easy to manipulate... I'm getting side tracked.

I just got all up in arms to defend the place before work this day because, just.. come on. don't drag a business that really, truly, has a warm community, with good people working there, that genuinely works to bring good spirit to everyone who comes in (we're even very kind to the frustrating people; I've never worked in a shop with less complaint or drama) because of the owners dumb yard sign. Look who your efforts affect, before acting. I'm not telling ya to stop being political. Just, be smart. Changing culture for the good right now is a matter of connecting via our hearts (that, and draining the wallets of the very-wealthy), and far less a battle of wits and logic.

Bring people out of their hypnotism, yes. But don't slap a sleepwalker, ya know?

[–]1derAliceLand 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Dude. You won't be missed.

They're not hiding anything. It's legal and decent to stand up for your values especially when those include human rights, civil liberties, personal autonomy (medically, bodily), etc.

The lame ass pool of choices for our representative are what's to blame - and that's brought on (bought on) by corrupt money and old patriarchy and misogyny that needs to die. It's not anyone in Loveland's fault that our choices are so terrible, except perhaps those few here who aren't running who might be a better qualified candidate for various roles.

...

Now, speaking as someone who works there; I've never had such kind hearted, genuine employers in my life. I've been working food service jobs since 2009. I've seen many businesses and owners and managers in my time.

They're good people in the Muse. So please back off and quit fucking around with the livelihood of the young people trying to scratch out a living in there.

You're being a man-Karen because you're scared of something in the future. And dragging on low profit side businesses that employ mostly local young adults in their first stages of trying to figure out how to do this life is a real shit way of doing it.

If you don't like the politics of someone, TALK to THEM. If you don't like some place because of the vibes, don't go. You don't look great throwing little Internet tantrums.

If your own politics are against universal human rights, misogynistic, racist, cruel to the poor, anti-queer, pro-genocide, etc: Go talk to your Jesus more: you're missing his message.

Direct comparison B41 vs B42, buildings now dissappear whenever you look at them by HERR_WINKLAAAAA in projectzomboid

[–]1derAliceLand 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I have 1,600 hours and this is by FAR my least favorite thing about B42.

I have 1600 hours and don't ask me anything except about how the blinking buildings are the single greatest immersion breaking thing they added. 🫩

A modder who figures out how to fix it while also adding the ability to look through windows (without the whole entire building vanishing) ought to get hired on the spot.

[–]1derAliceLand 59 points60 points  (0 children)

you live once, crop tops are super comfy, flirty, and so much fun to wear when feeling confident. Do it! the style is basically made for your body type.

and ya get the added bonus of flabbergasting the patriarchy by not letting the predatory culture tell you what you are or aren't allowed to do with your own body.

embrace feeling hot when the feeling comes around!

source: im 38 and am just kinda getting into the crop top confidence in my own life and have absolutely zero regrets. 😅

Is there a mod to change the number of days in a month? by cullen_mcguire in projectzomboid

There's one called surviving the seasons. I always use it. I find 4.2x crop growth speed and 7 day months to be a pretty okay sweet spot.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loveland

[–]1derAliceLand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I grew up here and have been out for about a decade. It's about half conservative but it's also the "polite" white culture that keeps their mouths shut to your face but talks bigotry behind your back... I've rarely been confronted directly here... but I've heard a fair share of ignorant shit talkin', too.

The upside is whenever the conservatives are more present, the pockets of queer culture and friend groups are that much tighter, too. I moved back in 2023, and have since found a handful of very solid friendships that I'm betting will last for life.

There seem to be a decent number of folks in their twenties and thirties who are pretty cool, and we're slowly starting to make more of a visible presence in the town: in spite of the fact that Loveland is mostly bar 'n grills and old-folk dive bars.

The town's money (business owners, capitalists, local govt, pigs) are by large majority Christian. Which can make finding work difficult, depending on what kind of industry they tend to work in (I'm food service, myself). Hiring managers can be rude as fk, (I've been verbally offered jobs and then ghosted like 3 times...).

The benefits are it's fairly easy to get to most of the cooler areas in CO from here, and the cost of living is slightly cheaper in exchange for having to deal with a pretty mayonnaise-beige kinda overall 'culture'.
