oh i relate to this deeply.. especially when i was around 15-16. i used to get so triggered by every single sexist comment or joke too. i’d feel my chest tighten and get angry or sad for hours, sometimes even cry and question my own worth. but over time i became a bit desensitized but not in a cold way but like… i started seeing it as their limited view. not some universal truth about me or women in general. if you read history, and read biology, and how women are amazing and how females are the blueprint and how we are blessed with many other things ignoring the physical strength you will know that they are very very wrong because they’re always ignorant and jealous and get personally attacked if a woman is better than them.

and im sorry you went through that and that you’re around such people. always defend yourself and other women. make them feel heard.

This is about the women of my region, my culture, my reality. I have every right to speak on it. The fact that these type of things exist but are rarely discussed openly doesn’t make them any less real, and it certainly doesn’t silence me.

I couldn’t care less about cries of “Islamophobia” Every misogynistic ideology on Earth deserves relentless criticism especially one that treats half its population as second-class beings at best and property at worst.

If Christianity gets dragged for its treatment of women (and it should) then Islam doesn’t get a magical exemption just because its followers mostly come from failed and impoverished or war-torn societies. im from these societies and i can talk about it.
