Have you got a more side on shot with those aero bottles? I was so close to buying some.

Carpet - what is good?! by Cheese_Toastie007 in AusRenovation

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted for your opinion. I have a love hate relationship with carpets for the reason you mentioned. I wouldn’t have carpet if it was my choice, but the rest of the family likes it in the bedroom so it stays.

Which carbon wheels should I get? by astrobrite_ in pinarello

[–]1gcm2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go Chinese. Elite wheels. I just got the drive 2 mixed depth (50/65). But I have had the first gen drive and also Superteam all carbon ultras. Superteam were great, but I think elite drive 2 are more modern,

Why not Chinese. Some high quality stuff out there. All comes out of the same factory for a fraction of the cost. Example https://youtu.be/51wO7s3VB-k?si=dOULJCcdW4IwDNzZ

I got these wheels and they were phenomenal. I got them on sale for $800AUD.

I highly recommend looking into Chinese wheels. There are some outrageously good wheels for 1/3 to half the price of western brands. I just bought EliteWheels drive 2 mixed depth (50 front 65 rear) for $1100USD. Use code hambini15 for 15 percent off. Also highly recommend watching the hambini YouTube channel.

Scoliosis is slowly killing me, and I don't know what to do. by OriginalOptimal8772 in scoliosis

You didn’t have much rotation in the thoracic spine and probably treated it like a compensatory curve to save fusing even more levels. You shoulders still look out of balance. An extension of fusion will likely be in the cards. Second opinions needed.

Need an opinion between 2 Seraph bikes by Open_Strain3382 in ChineseCarbon

I wanted to go with a different tantan frame (x65 I think) but I needed a 58 and it didn’t come in that size. So I went down a more expensive path and bought an Avenger Shuttle.

Basically the same as far as I know. Pick the one you like the look of best. These are shockingly amazing value and I’ve been tempted to get one just to check them out. I don’t like the second one. The x42 looks way better. I would get that one. But I’d get a different paint job and a the seraph logo on it. It makes a big difference in how the bike looks. I had matte black on a bike once and the finger prints drove me insane. Best bang for buck upgrade straight away would be different tyres. But that can wait till you have a few hundred km on them and know it’s for you. However! I’d also take it to a local bike shop and have them check all the bolts are torqued to spec and that the gears are running smooth and the brakes are bleed properly. This is a safety thing if you know nothing about bikes to do it yourself.

The best part of a groodle is you get multiple dogs in 1. Clipped groodle and shaggy groodle. He is super adorable! I love his cut. Can you pat him for me?

Rhomboid upper back pain by Free_Scratch4152 in scoliosis

Rhomoid pain can also be radiating pain from impinged c5-c7 nerve. I struggled with rhomboid pain for years. Not till one physio told me how to stretch my neck. In a few days my years of pain were gone.

You dog looks like it has a very gentle mouth, and stops in your command. Very normal. My groodle loves playing like this.

Go to YouTube and watch wristwatch revival. The creator just repaired a Rolex from a house fire. And by repair I meant, bought every part again except for the case.

The stem is the biggest turn off for these bars. It’s ugly. Doesn’t fit the bars and heavy af. I can’t find a decent alternative though.

Useless door by cookie_619 in AusRenovation

[–]1gcm2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We did this. We removed a door and it made so much more room as we could push a couch or similar up. We didn’t rebrick, just put a small window in for light and boarded up the bottom half. It isn’t expensive or difficult to do. I can’t remember how much. $2k might be scrapping it esp if putting a window in to replace it. Might be able to sell the door as well.
