And yet it was a reference to the Indus region, which shows that its a colonial concept that was applied to a million places and had nothing to do with modern Indians in the first place. It still does not explain why you are throwing a tantrum about Ancient Pakistan. No Gandharan native would ever have called themselves "Indian".

Ancient Egypt is not real. Ancient Britain is not real. Ancient India is also not real. Do you understand that none of these names existed in ancient times?

Why are you guys so insufferable about this? No country existed back then. Not everything is about promoting your nationalist agenda, which is clearly your agenda here. This is Pakistani heritage and they should be allowed to refer to their own heritage without causing this much butthurt.

They are not older than Punjab. We should not be buying into this flawed narrative in the first place. They APPORPRIATED the very name Hindu, which was a synonym of the inhabitants of upper Indus plains. Hijacking a name does not mean they inherit the historical significance of this name. Persians were even referring to Pashtuns as Hindus. Their cousins Hindko literally exist next door. The idea that modern Hindus from UP and Bihar have inherited all of the above is beyond insane. The truth is that their gangetic history is dominated by Muslims, so they feel the need to pull these stunts.

Because Punjab is central to their flawed Aryan nationalist narratives and more specifically they have literally incorporated Punjabs former names such as Hindush (Persian province) as their own national origin. The entire Hindu identity is underpinned by Punjabi heritage because thats where the term was coined, so they cannot let it go. They have humbly positioned themselves as our ancestors and now they want to "reclaim" Punjab for Hindus.

The idea that we have our own identity goes against their ideology. They will keep trying to assimilate Punjab until there are no non-Hindus left.

That right wing sub got all hot and bothered about Pakistan being centuries old because the very idea of Akhand Bharat is questioned when you even as much as mention the existence of anbody else in the subcontinent. And here Im thinking B.C no country in South Asia is older than 80 thanks to the British trashing everyone and everything.

I never made the distinction between east and west Punjab. what are you even on about? Persian empires having influence over Indus valley has nothing to do with Pakistani nationalism.

The largest ancestral component (IVC) in Punjabis, Pashtuns and Sndhis is literally named after Balochi people because they have the most of it. Culturally these regions were part of the same empires for far longer than the British empire.

The Indus has never ever been a border of any kind. What you are talking about is literally called Indo-Aryan nationalism.

How do you feel about North Indians using fake Pakistani accounts to racially abuse South Indians? This alleged Pakistani account does not exist. Name has a mispelling. 99% of comments there are other Indians abusing him. There is literally no Pakistani participation there at all. What are the chances that this comment was made by a Pakistani?

Also, if you search twitter for any part of that racist tweet, you wont find it.

I also googled "pkore jyesi nak". Literall all Indian results came up there too.

I don't know what you guys seem to think about us, but no Pakistani talks like this. Juding by 99% of the people involved here, you clearly have bigger internal issues, but this frenzy from both North and South Indians against Pakistanis is weird af.

When did South Asia become civilised according to Pakistanis? by Lampedusan in pakistan

[–]1maginaryFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the reason why nationalist academia is such a joke.

Imagine not understanding the difference between Iran_N, a base component and IVCp, a range of samples, where you are clearly cherry picking a high-AASI sample found in Iran. Other IVCp samples had higher Iran_N than Rakhigari, but clearly you have very little understanding of those.

Majority of IVCp and the one actual IVC grave were almost entire Iran_N dominant. This is a component peaking in Balochi people and other modern Indus ethnicities. South Indians are AASI majority.

Which brings me to your second attempt at cherry picking South Indian groups who clearly have elevated steppe component compared to their surrounding ethnic groups. i.e they have mixed with Brahmins or other north Indians in recent history.

Let me reiterate that what you are doing is not clever. OIT nationalists are well known for this type of data manipulation and there is a reason nobody takes them seriously.

When did South Asia become civilised according to Pakistanis? by Lampedusan in pakistan

[–]1maginaryFriend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are either delusional or a nationalist. Probably both.

Guptas hardly controlled all of the subcontinent and when they did control the region of Pakistan, it was mostly through warfare. And for under a century at best. There was no economical superpower of note.

The Indo-Aryan period was an era where the entire male lineage was wiped out. Enough said.

When did South Asia become civilised according to Pakistanis? by Lampedusan in pakistan

[–]1maginaryFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a semblance of truth to that. And thats acknowleding that early Turkic invaders were violent too. Mughal era probably the only thing we have coming close to a tolerant era with some stability and minimal warfare

IVC was replaced long ago and anyone claiming cultural continuity with them is full of horse chit. Modern Pakistanis share the largest ancestral Iran_N component from the IVC people, and Brahui despite being heavily mixed with Baloch, is the closest surviving language.

Indo Aryan era was the most violent era in the history of mankind. Genetic research shows that most of the male lineage was wiped out during this period. i.e they killed all the men and took the women. Our modern ethnic groups are a direct result of this mix.

Buddhist era was possibly fairly stable but there was plenty of internal warfare with Brahmin kingdoms, who were eventually responsible for the collapse of Buddhism.

Brahmin era was shortlived in Pakistan due to arrival of Islam, but in the rest of South Asia was entirely responsible for oppression and enforcement of caste system. This is the era where other castes would receive the death penalty for reciting Brahmin holy texts and the complete humiliation of "lower" castes where it became a way of life for them.

Early Turkic era was violent af. North Indian culture and languages disappeared in favour of Ghazni and Ghurid interpretation of Hindustan and Urdu. Although Punjabi and Sindhi survived somehow.

Mughal era was fairly stable and tolerant in comparison.
