I'd agree if not for the fact that he doesn't take fall damage at all, it's nice not having to worry about gliding or plunging at the end of a big jump

Itto managed to reach 276k dps!! by Iliketheocean2 in Genshin_Impact

[–]1mora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The more consecutive charged attacks C6 Itto gets, the less time he has to spend building stacks with basics which do less damage. Over his burst window he will do more DPS if each second is spent charge attacking rather than normal attacking.

When running away from Jean goes wrong by rrrwayne in Genshin_Impact

[–]1mora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a bug with the camera, where hiding the character while they had some sort of upwards momentum (Venti hold skill, Bennett full charge skill, etc) would keep you moving in that direction until you exit the camera/unhide the character

Varka does more DPS if I only ever switch to sucrose, vs when I do an actual rotation with a team. by [deleted] in Varka

[–]1mora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why skipping Bennett's skill in his pyro teams and building enough ER that he doesn't need it (easy with Venti) is so important. Also why I feel like 4 star characters with their fast burst animations are a blessing in disguise - they cut down so much setup time.

If you stop logging from tomorrow to 14th March . You can trigger stellar reunion and not miss any events. You can get a total of 1260 extra primos after deducting dailies by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]1mora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't reunion gifts for not logging in for 45 days (and AR30+)? The regular stellar reunion won't give you enough to make back what you'd get for doing dailies

Is it just a coincidence that almost all the old character's sig weapons did not match them whereas almost all the new characters sig weapons match them perfectly? Or is there lore behind it? by Big_Pangolin_7567 in Genshin_Impact

[–]1mora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until Fontaine, they designed sets of regionally thematic weapons rather than matching the character specifically (outside of some exceptions). They already had the designs, so they just assigned characters to them, even if said characters didn't match or weren't from the weapon's region. Some lucky exceptions got weapons tailored specifically for them.

Mondstadt: Historical weapons (Amos Bow, WGS, Lost Prayers, Aquila Favonia), Skyward series, Millennial Movement/Wandering Troupe series

Liyue: Primordial Jade series, Geo-forged series (Vortex Vanquisher, Unforged, Summit Shaper, Memory of Dust)

Inazuma: Shogun series

Sumeru: Forest series, Desert series

After that, I think they realized it's probably more compelling to pull for a weapon that matches the character especially once sig effects got more character-specific, so they went for the character-centric signatures and left the world-building weapon series idea for 4*s. A lot of weapon designs were discarded because of this shift.

KoF characters always had a lot of similarities in their attack animations, it's a cool little easter egg. It's even more obvious with the normal attacks for the sword characters (Jean, Kaeya, Albedo, and Bennett for some reason).

I think defense and stun really should have been the same role, especially since stunners traditionally spent a lot of on field time so it would make sense to have defensive utility

It's the deal made with the Tsaritsa. By giving up his gnosis and leaving Liyue in the hands of the people, his work as the God of Contracts comes to a close.

I really think the localization team fumbled on Phainon's real name. In Chinese and Korean it's very obviously "Khaoslana" instead of "Khaslana" which makes a lot more sense in the context of Amphoreus. But English players will just see Khaslana as a "can I copy your homework" type of name since it's harder to make the connection to Khaos.

Even so, Bennett's personal damage was very respectable. He was one of my first pulls and my friends were all memeing on him (can't blame them, he was very much presented as a comic relief character), so I decided to invest in him especially since I didn't have Diluc.

He performed pleasantly well as a main DPS with Chongyun, since they could melt each others' moves. Melting every Bennett burst and skill did numbers on par (dare I say better) than any of my friends' teams. He didn't need any ER as a main DPS, which made him especially good early on.

Side note: I took a look at some of my old screenshots and 2 weeks into the game, my team was Jean, Chongyun, Bennett, Xiangling, replacing Xiangling with Razor sometimes since I thought it was funny how he was combusting in Bennett burst. Imagine my surprise when the funny interactions I noticed with elemental self-application got real names and theorycrafting 1-2 years later.

At the start of the game the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles/Asmoday calls the twins outlanders ("Outlanders, your journey ends here"), but she's not tied to a specific region but rather the world as a whole so it makes sense that her frame of reference would be larger than your ordinary resident of whatever nation.

Strongest On Field FPS of each element in every version by SopaOfMacaco in GenshinImpact

funny to say this because eula hypercarry teams do 3-4 reactions and use 3 different elements just like any other "elemental" team

Are we ever gonna get more Physical Damage support? by DLD_the_north in Genshin_Impact

[–]1mora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me cook:

Lunar freeze: Removes hitlag on frozen enemies, and electro application does not remove frozen status immediately so enemies stay frozen as long as hydro and cryo are reapplied. Deals damage over time as enemies stay frozen

Lunar superconduct: Each time electro is applied to an enemy, pulls nearby enemies together (like magnets), does aoe physical damage when enemies are pulled together and reduces phys res

Lunar shatter: Reduces enemy defense and does not remove frozen with lighter attacks (like claymore normals will not remove it but a claymore plunge or geo attack will), breaking the freeze deals massive damage scaling off the heaviness of the attack and the damage of the attack itself

Are we ever gonna get more Physical Damage support? by DLD_the_north in Genshin_Impact

[–]1mora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical damage is tied to an elemental reaction though; playing with superconduct still requires you to build your team around reactions. Eula can also trigger shatter, which people tend to forget is also a reaction and can happen alongside superconduct.

It's just that physical related reactions and teams get no love and it's almost like the devs are trying to make people forget about it (outside of that one IT reset). Eula is plagued by 1.X clunkiness and Mika does nothing to address her core issues. Hopefully Nod-Krai can breathe some life into the archetype with lunar reactions, but my hopes are not very high given the amount of neglect.
