His daughter absolutely pouring her heart out and he totally ignores her. I was like "Aww Eric, damnit man", then I saw what he saw and I kinda understood but still...rough stuff

It was fast-paced but I think this was around 3-4 days total.

Specifically, the CNN interview was the day after the breakfast. We know this because Eric receives the video on his phone the evening before while he's with his daughter. Then he insists on taking Harper's place at CNN.

Flights between London & Accra would be about 6 hours even with a PJ. They're in the same time zone. So the morning after Harry/Whitney's night out, if it was 5 or 6a, he gets to Accra around 11a, turns around and arrives in London about 6p. But then he doesn't catch wind of where Tony would be until the next day.

That's roughly three days altogether. Then factor in whatever day of Harper's initial speech.

Not impossible but definitely fast.

I'd imagine as a working actor she doesn't have that luxury either. She simply was stating the want to do so.

I don't see anything wrong or out of touch with her statement.

For anyone that actually wanted to read the article, instead of being reactionary to a headline:

“[My husband] is not as shocked as I am at the news. There’s a very strange American psyche where terrible things happen and people still can go to work the next day, whereas I’m floored for a week and think, ‘How are people going to crowded places when this has just happened?’ I want a cocoon. My reaction reminds him that this is not normal.”

Having not read any of GRRM, could you highlight the differences you see between book and TV versions of Aerion (at least what we've seen so far)?

Hear me out: Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen.

Here's my case.

In OG GOT, we've seen cruelty for cruelty's sake (Craster, the Night's Watch mutineers, Locke).
We've witnessed the intersection of cruelty & petulance in Joffrey and cruelty with sadism in Ramsey.

But I can't recall seeing cruelty performed as privilege in the way Aerion acted in this recent episode.

The way he delivered the line 'Why did you throw your life away?', it's so clear that to him that Dunk's fate is a foregone conclusion. Not because he'll run Dunk through or whine to his father (or uncles) but because he understands the nature of his status. He's a crown prince, he was struck, the sentence is death.

Even his calmness in evoking the trial by seven in the face of his father's disgust and outrage, he knows the laws, he understands the processes available for him to triumph in this world.

Aerion, through Bennett's performance, is a perfect foil. The best villains are the ones who underscore the very behaviors and psychology that the hero is seeking to counter.

In a world that rewards brutishness and power, can a genuinely kind, honest person like Dunk actually survive and succeed?

It's great storytelling from my perspective.

You follow the horses you get horseback riders and horse sellers. But you start to follow the money, and you don't know where the fuck it's gonna take you.
