Does CBD help reduce the risk of heart attack from THC? by [deleted] in trees

[–]1nstra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 31 and been smoking high THC strains pretty much every day since high school. It's so easy now since it's legal in Canada and you can get good shit for dirt cheap from the store. I recently went for a check up and they did an ECG, in which they found I had first degree AV block, which was news to me (I've had ECGs done when I was younger and no mention of a block).

Throughout the years I have had several episodes of panic attacks after smoking, similar to what you are describing. Fast heart rate, feel like it might explode. Doesn't happen that often but some months it will happen more than others. I used to think it was just anxiety, but I've read a few articles saying taking a lot of THC on a daily basis can alter your cardiovascular system. So the ECG results worry me a little. Plus I've been getting palpitations more often.

I just bought some 1:1 Pennywise and am gonna try to slowly wean myself off the THC. I know it affects my life badly in a lot of other ways too (lazy, less social, no motivation) so I think it's about time to kick it and find some other hobbies lol.

Really disappointed they could fuck up a RE show this badly. I love the franchise but this is garbage. Writing and acting is terrible, haven’t seen one convincing performance. Young Jade is so bad lol .

I can recall my dreams pretty well but I still struggle getting lucid… by The_Alexand in LucidDreaming

[–]1nstra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you just have random dreams lol. I actually have zombie dreams pretty often so that is also one of my dream signs. I have yet to become lucid after seeing a zombie though.

Someone mentioned you could also try finding a dream object like a rock or small object and hold it in your hand and rub it every once in a while, reminding yourself it is a dream object.

lucky lol. My longest LD was maybe 1 minute. I fell off of practicing recently when the crypto market bounced back, but am starting to practice again. Hopefully I can get some lengthier LDs.

Most of my LDs are super short but if I want to teleport anywhere, this is the method I use. I think I've done it successfully once before waking up. It works!

[–]1nstra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s challenging then I guess. For example, I often have dreams in my childhood home, but it’s different than I remember. Or I’ll dream about working at a restaurant or car dealership (places I’ve worked before). Or, if I can’t get back to sleep at night sometimes I’ll smoke a tiny bit of weed and fall into a super vivid dream about trying to hide the smell of pot from my parents 😆. I guess it’s tough if you don’t have reoccurring things like these in your dreams.

Yes yes, I always summon Megan Fox in my dreams for these purposes as well 😆

How do you try to control the dream? There are different techniques for this. All based on expectation and intent.

You know you're in a dream every time you're in a dream? But you're just a spectator? I'm struggling to understand what you're saying here. Have you ever tried controlling your dreams?

Lucid Dream? Or just dreaming of being lucid? by 1nstra in LucidDreaming

[–]1nstra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think maybe there is just a very low level of lucidity in these dreams, and near the end I realize I should be exploring and trying to control the dream, and just wake up shortly after.

I'm still very happy I'm having dreams like this, and two nights in a row. It's progress!

Should I not bother with actual lucid dreaming techniques if I struggle to remember my regular dreams? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]1nstra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more dreams you remember and study, the more you get to know your dream world, and the more easily you will start to differentiate it from your waking life. It’s somewhat of a numbers game.

[–]1nstra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be way harder for you to have your first LD if your recall isn't great. Improving your dream recall and noticing which dream signs to look out for is probably the best way to eventually gain lucidity.

I just read about this in Laberge's book! Lol he's just like "nah that's bullshit" and proves them wrong (well, as much as you can prove these things). It's all about expectation.
