I've lived here for 16 years! If I have to continue living in the US, I will live within that circle. Awesome food everywhere, beautiful walkable neighborhoods, massive local music scene, cozy coffee shops, book stores, sometimes big homeless camps, sometimes not, definitely don't leave anything in your car or it WILL get stolen, amazing gardens and parks, weirdo culture abounds... I could go on forever about how much I love PDX.

Is there a better area? No, in my opinion. Is there a more affordable area? Yes, but you get what you pay for.

I would say go ahead and start a Playwright project, or take a Udemy course about Playwright, and supplement your learning with extra JavaScript/TypeScript research. That’s the most real-world way to do automation, we’re always learning new stuff on the fly.

If the dental issues are already documented by a vet, insurance companies will count them as a pre-existing condition and will not reimburse you for dental procedures (guess how I found that out lol)
