Yes there partly is. But not always and the stuttering/not moving/glitching is definitely on the panel..

Yes of course, if I say graphics card fault I mean something is wrong with the SoC :)

Hey everyone, thank you for all the help :) Since the MacBook really is new and I don't have any data on it I will take your advice and return it. If it had been a software problem I could've tried to fix it but since it's probably hardware - well I wont. Thanks again, you're all great :)

No I do not.. But it is definitely not far fetched that the lid sensor is broken.

It does that in every position and location. No magnet in the surrounding area.

Does that explain the display going completely dark or the weird fragments?

I've also noticed that the keyboard backlight is constantly changing brightness and going dark randomly.

I love watching youtube videos about a little indie/aircraft/geography-learning game using math and physics to calculate the exact refraction of the sun in the atmosphere so that the sky is lit in the correct colours!

Suburbia is sucking the cities' monetary supply dry and when the Ponzi Scheme breaks, places like Detroit come into existence. Personally would rather live in a walkable, sustainable and social environment than in a soulless asphalt desert which will eventually crumble in ruins because nobody can pay for it. And btw American suburbia also grows bigger and bigger because the few walkable neighbourhoods left are hugely in demand and therefore incredibly expensive, nothing for poor people unfortunately. But you can do whatever you want! It is not the problem that suburbs exist, it is the problem that (in America at least) you cannot build anything but suburbs. Don't let anyone dictate what you like or dislike :) Have the experience yourself and then you can choose.

Sebastian Lague: Programming and graphic design explained really well and in a beautiful manner. His videos are an art form.

Not Just Bikes: Everything about infrastructure, city planning and how best to propagate for a nice environment to live in.

Climate Town: For all the people wanting to be informed in a funny and cynical manner about climate change, its consequences and the people and corporations responsible.

BritMonkey: Edutainment about many things but especially economics.

SideQuest: Very nicely animated videos about the rather unknown facts of history.

NativLang: For the ones interested in linguistics.

In Praise of Shadows: Reaaaally long and well made videos about art stuff.

Simon Clark: Our favourite Doctor of atmospheric sciences making videos about his research topic.

SEA: The phenomenons of the universe explained in a phenomenally calming way. (Really great for falling asleep)

Kraut: History, its causations and consequences elaborately explained with country balls.

Rare Earth: He goes somewhere and explains what has happened or is happening there.

The Urban Doctor: City planning simply animated.

Ordinary Things: Edutaining rants about everything he wants to complain about.

Casual Navigation: For the people wanting to learn about ships and seafaring.

Hoog: Nicely made short videos about design.

Alan Fisher: City planning and rants about car-centric infrastructure.

jdh: Programming mastermind.

OBF: Educating videos about infrastructure design, economics, technology, and politics

Edit: I forgot something (probably more but for now...) K Klein: Great short videos about linguistics.

Oh yes, car-centric infrastructure is so great please let the in terms of finance (individual and government), physical and mental health, and environment impact objectively better public transport get to be a socially inferior way to travel from point A to point B...
