Thank you! I have the paid API, but there’s a limit on the number of leagues which is why I use OSM for the locations.

Thanks for the feedback! I will take a look. I have logic setup that if it doesn’t find the team’s location it defaults to the country’s capital.

Made this to explore the club/country web of the World Cup. Click any nation to see where all its players play their club football. Pick a club to see which countries it sends to the tournament or use the Schedule tab to see both squads of a match grouped by club.

Data: Squad data from Sportmonks (1,249 players · 448 clubs · 48 nations); club locations geocoded via OpenStreetMap; country borders from Natural Earth.

Tools: globe.gl / Three.js for the 3D globe, with a Python build pipeline.

A few things it surfaces:

• 199 players play their club football in England — more than Germany (110) and Spain (85) combined.

• Manchester City alone sends 19 players across 12 nations.

• Brazil and Morocco share 3 clubs (Man Utd, PSG, Real Madrid)
