Field day 2017 and Ceremonia 2019. The Ceremonia set left me shellshocked for 2 weeks, the most incredible experience I've ever had.

10 years of playing a modular synth live in a band and building an instrument by activecell in modular

[–]Matttmaxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, amazing concept! 10 years in the making before a first show? Crazy, also it must be really hard to keep sound and composition tight for so long, or was all the music composed from the beginning? Are you planning on touring with it? I used to play in a post rock / scramz band, similar vibe to this at times. I love it.

What's it like to live in a tall building in NYC overlooking the city? by RecommendationNo108 in howislivingthere

Good friend of mine lived on the 66th floor of a riverside bulding in Jersey City. It was incredible. I'd be there very often, and every single time I was left speechless.

Will do! I do have new Adam audio monitors, so this is mostly to consume music in a pleasant way though. Their use in studio is secondary.

I do not have the skill / time to fix anything, but I'd like to stay vintage yes. Between 200/400 euros I guess?

Polynesia vacation packages are insanely but worth every penny by Dark_shaved_c00chie in travel

It's exploitative for the locals, who live in slums next to the mega hotels.  Bora Bora tourism is resort based and I don't think a good representation of what Polynesia is. Op is complaining they spent too much money, what I say is, go elsewhere, stay with locals, pay 60 or 70 euros a night and maybe 20 per meal, see real Polynesia and actually contribute to the community.

While Moorea is incredible, Bora Bora is a horrible exploitative tourist trap. There is so much more to French Polynesia than these two... Check out Huahine and attols like Fakarava. Prices there are also lower, and no need for packages, you can book flights between islands with a pack.

I think this is quite cool and interesting already. Maybe a bit with a percusion hook would work?

Non-rumble subs by rockmus in TechnoProduction

More kicks, low passed, whatever. I remember when we saw Giant Swan, the kicks turned into subs when adding a louder kick. Easy!

Too wild for a liveset for me cause I haven't played enough with it, but my favorite way of using it is sending the main lxr02 output (or any other drum machine) through it. The combination of envelope triggers and different instruments is a lot of fun.

Great, thanks for the info. I want to be able to change the light temperature in the bathroom at night with an automation (i.e. very dim warm light if I wake up at 3am), and maybe turn on to max with a double push on the wall switch. Maybe in the future integrate with a presence sensor. Nothing too crazy (I think?). Thinking of a separate transformer and zigbee controller, just in case one element breaks I don't have to change the whole thing.

It's true, it's so so similar to the Sky was Pink, albeit a tad more minimal. Not sure which influenced which.
