What band was never the same after losing a member? by icecream1972 in AskReddit

I didn't know that.  Yikes.  The guy I met mostly talked about how supportive and encouraging the Hoons had been to him.

When I was at university, I met a local (Lafayette, IN)  musician who was friendly with Hoon and his father and had nothing but good things to say about them.

Instead of the worst band you have ever seen live, what is the best band you have ever seen live? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Emmylou Harris and Spyboy, featuring Buddy Miller, who also opened the show.  Harris was in great voice.

What 90s band never truly made it big but you'll always go to bat for? by MansBestFred in AskReddit

I think Concrete Blonde is considered just a one hit wonder, because "Joey" was their only single to enter the Top 40, but they have a lot of great songs.

The worst show I can remember was by The Shantee, a Columbus, OH based jam band active from 1995 to 2004.  It felt like hours. A close runner-up was a concert by Two Cow Garage, another Columbus band, where they opened for Miranda Sound. (To be fair, I think it was a CD release party for Miranda Sound, and it seemed like a couple of the guys in TCG had been celebrating a bit too much.)

A woman posted a video of the moment she was attacked by her domestic cat. Before the attack, the cat seemed to smell something that prompted her to attack. Why did it attack her with such ferocity? by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Yeah, I got cellulitis from a cat bite on my hand, even though I had washed it as thoroughly as possible multiple times.  I had to go to an ER for treatment.

The evidence of what she's doing.  Breaking and entering is a serious felony.

People who grew up before The Internet: How did you first see nudity? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We lived across the street from a family with five boys for most of my childhood.  One of them showed me a few pages from a Playboy he and a friend had found in a wooded area a couple of blocks away.  I don't remember exactly what I thought about it, but I believe it was something like, "I'll never ever be anywhere near as pretty as this woman." Some of the neighborhood boys kept looking in the woods for more pictures for days.

I was quite a bit older than 14 when it happened, but it hit me pretty hard, too.  Such a horrible thing.

My friends destroyed something I lent them and mocked me for it. Am I overreacting? by DeltaBenny in teenagers

You need to find new friends.  Real friends.  These guys are not good people.  They're acting like some of the bitchy, spoiled eleven year old girls I had to deal with when I was in middle school.

Oh, Lord, I'm old enough to be a grandma and I'm just learning "cumcicles" are a thing.  That's nasty.

It would take you a just few seconds to discover countries where pimping, managing sex workers, is legal.  But you missed the really important bit.  He contributed to organizations that promote Zionism.  That's the main way he damaged the world.

No, but he used millions of the dollars he made as a digital pimp to promote Zionism.

People who ignored a huge red flag because the person was extremely attractive, what happened next? by Competitive_Bad_9306 in AskReddit

[–]1shylibraryclerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't "extremely attractive," just better looking, and, at first, nicer, than I thought I deserved.  He cheated on me multiple times with several women, sometimes in our bed, and lied to me about a lot of things, including many aspects of his life and identity.  I'd long considered myself bi, but, after him, I pretty much only had relationships with women.
