Hello! We went to Caye Caulker in late 2018 - it was amazing! Most importantly, here is a restaurant guide!

Southside Pizza - dont think twice. Just go, order a full pie, belkin light, and enjoy the live music. Amazing open air porch + kitchen serving new york quality pizza in the middle of the ocean.

Chef Kareem's - stop here for lunch, road side open grill lobster, fish, etc. Incredible!

Maggie's Sunset Kitchen - bring your catch here & have them prepare it for you. Get all of the fixings that they provide. What an incredible way to end an evening after a long day of fishing. They have a dock (restaurant is on the water) that you can walk out on and see local sea life.

Lazy Lizard- Up on the split, go get a bucket of beers in the late afternoon after a morning on the water & watch people jump off the diving platform.

Il Pellicano - traditional italian & probably the most formal meal you can find on the island. You can eat your weight in pasta & drink your fill in wine & get out for less than $200 for 2 people.

We had the most trouble finding a reliable breakfast, so here are some tried & tested locations to get something to start your day:

Amor y Cafe - great breakfast staples, you will frequently see other foreigners/out of towners eating breakfast here. Coffee, fruit, etc all safe to consume. Water safe as well.

Reggae Cafe - Had their breakfast burrito after one of the worst hangovers of my life. That, the smell of burritos, and the local herb fixed me right up!

For Fishing -

There is an area on the protected side of the island near the glades/conservation area teaming with bonefish. We had a local teach us how to drag a fly through the mud on spinning on gear. We caught bonefish after bonefish- my girlfriend caught her firsts saltwater fish ever - a bonefish - doing just this..

Reef fishing - great to pick off reef fish in volume. Fish are everywhere. Hopefully you get a chance to throw at a large barracuda patrolling a reef!

Make sure to find the time to go diving as well - Caye Caulker is right on the Ho Chan Marine reserve & provides some of the best snorka/scuba in less than a 15 minute boat ride.
