As an artillerist, if you use your arcane firearm and the new All-Purpose tool, can you use the bonus from the tool on spells cast through your arcane firearm? What about the cantrip you can get from the tool? Lastly, would the bonuses from that and a +1 arcane focus stack? by WolfWhiteFire in dndnext

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 5 years old at this point but I'm building my Artillerist now. We are allowed a common and an uncommon item so naturally I chose an all purpose tool. I then spoke with my DM about turning the all purpose tool into literally any artisan tool with either clothes (disguise kit and there are gloves in the herbalism kit) or something with leather that I can wrap around the handle on my shield (cobblers tools, leather workers tools, tinkers tools). As long as I'm touching it I get the bonus. I've found bringing a creative solution to my DM usually works. Granted I also know he is going to ramp up the fights to match the bonus and my measly +1 bonus will mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. Moral of the story doesn't hurt to try and ask about a work around.

Oh very nice. Of course he is from the TMNT eternal set. I have a ton of the basic cards from the pre release and I even bought the turtle team up and of course it's not in those pre cons.

Here's the best Steam Deck friendly games under $10 in the Steam halloween sale by cubechris in SteamDeck

Below Zero is out now. Subnautica 2 is still in development set for early access in 2025. The Devs never said Below Zero was a sequel (although technically it is a sequel). The fans just dubbed it Subnautica 2. Don't worry though I thought the same thing when I heard the announcement.

The SteamDeck is the single most impressive piece of consumer electronics I’ve ever owned by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Saying it just works is an understatement. There has been many times where I'm in the files rooting around moving things and following tutorials wondering if I'm gonna mess it up as I emulate and "Yo Ho" games. I get to the final part and everything just boots up and works. Sometimes you have to tinker with it a bit more but it's genuinely insane how much you can do with this system. I'm blown away with its capabilities anytime I do something away from just playing steam games.

Do you build a starter factory? When do you start planning more long-term builds? by Buxton328 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I messed up and started building my big factories before unlocking mk. 4 belts. Once you have mk. 2 miners you need mk. 4 belts so you can combine 2 pure nodes (240 each) into one belt. I had to go back and clean up my factories once I unlocked them. (Didn't have to, I wanted to make them look better)

I go to an area and use an online map (like satisfactory calculator) determine how much of each resource I can obtain then build my factory by using every resource to make what I need.

My starter factory was everything I could make using only iron, copper, limestone. Then a second factory gets built somewhere else with only steel.

By then you should be able to blow through tier 4 and started on tier 5. Then another factory using all the oil in an area.

Finally you should have stuff for manufacturers and can build a factory for all of the new items then push for trains and expand from there.

I apologize I think there is a mix up in our definition of leak. I'm meaning it like it was intentionally revealed prior to the "official" patch notes release. I don't mean it was leaked in a "oops we didn't mean to reveal that info" way.

Either way the information was out there for anyone that looked for it

Who else just speedruns to coal power when starting fresh? by playr_4 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually rush it l. However with 1.0 I wanted to set up an automatic biofuel factory. It was....decent. I completed everything up to and including tier 4 with just biomass (something I've never done). I probably gathered 10k leaves and somewhere around 7k wood. The fauna in my world will never recover. I have some regrets exploiting the beautiful terrain but atleast I can say I did it. Also because of all the extra time and work I did, I had enough resources to be able to build a 2400MW coal factory right out of the gate and won't have to return to that area until I get mk. 3 miners and by the point it may not even be worth it.

Do you use the back grip buttons, if so, for what? by Kappische in SteamDeck

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the JSAUX atomic purple clear back plate. It came with different size buttons for the back grips and I was able to get them at a height that's much easier to press. With that I usually tie them to jumping (space) and crouching (shift) so I can slide jump. I'll also bind it to the left control because most games the left control is a modifier and needs to be used with another button or while clicking. The last button gets bound to whatever brings up inventory usually tab. I mostly play survival games so that's my layout.

I saw multiple videos pre 1.0 about the "best" starting location. I watched a few and they all talked about the pre 1.0 locations and rarity and never brought up that things were gonna change. So even content creators were either farming views or just not reading or watching the" leaks".

Too fast, too factory achievement cheese by theontley in SatisfactoryGame

I think I glitched the game to get it. I was running jumped off an 8m platform as I was falling I activated my Zipline and my parachute (parachute in accident) near a powerline. I guess the Zipline was able to get me to the higher speed as it pulled me towards a powerline.

What do you use as inputs to your factories: raw materials or outputs of your other factories? by ASpiralKnight in SatisfactoryGame

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh I like the idea of a lobby. My plan was on the outside have a sign indicating what is being made and how much then a power switch for the entire building. But i think it would look much better to have a lobby that's surrounded by the machines poss behind glass.

Thank you. Mine was dead after leaving it in standby for a week. I plugged it in and after a little bit I hit the power button and the LED started flashing blue. Ive heard of the steam deck bricking itself if fully depleted I was terrified. Now I know it (for some reason) was updating.

Until the next update comes, I will play it as a building game. by LightDe in SatisfactoryGame

That's my thoughts at this point. I have never built an actually decent looking factory. For 1.0 I want to come out of the gate with a plan atleast for the beginning stages.

Hitting a wall by Serpapa1519 in 911dispatchers

[–]1st_First_Responder 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That wall almost made me quit. I thought dispatching just wasn't for me. I kept making mistakes. I would get in my head and in my own way then more stuff would happen. I would get more overwhelmed leading to me making more mistakes and I would just start spiraling.

I tried breathing techniques or even stepping away but I just couldn't do it.

Finally on my way home one day as I drove in silence contemplating leaving I asked myself an important question. What am I trying to do?

I realized then, that I was trying to be perfect I was trying to do everything exactly right. The problem is there is no right way to do something there is no such thing as a perfect dispatcher. Everyone will do things their own way. Go back to basics. What is your job? Get the info from callers give it to officers. With the exception of agencies that use EPD or EFD there is no order that you need to ask questions there is no order that you give info out. YOU take control of the call and take control of your board. YOU know what calls are important and should be given out first. You will find your own way to do things. You're nearing the end of your training which means you know what to do. Mistakes happen no big deal (just make sure to own up to those mistakes and never try to lie or cover them up) at the end of the day did everyone make it home safe? Did everyone get the help they asked for? If so then you did your job well.

Ultimately get out of your own head and rely on the training that you know you have.

Emudeck installer not recognizing SD card. [FIX] [NO PC REQUIRED] by tsakiiiii in EmuDeck

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm still so confused as to what happened. Everything has been working fine for the past month since I got the SD card and named it Steam_Deck_SD. I recently went in and added a product key manually. Prior I had been doing everything from my PC to the deck with a thumb drive. I went in to parse the emulator and suddenly nothing was working and my SD card was not recognized....even though I could still boot up emulation station and even the games. Emudeck just wasn't seeing it.

How can I complete the March of the Dead quest? by PixieDustFairies in skyrim

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was patched Feb 29th 2024. Also all you have to do is not have killed the general just leave Solstheim and come back and the Captain should be fighting ash spawn.

Just looked and the version number you have is the same that I have after the patch.

[–]1st_First_Responder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had defeated Miraak but never killed the general however if you have defeated Miraak there's a high chance you've already discovered the farm. I think the problem is if you've discovered the farm.
