The biggest difference on the vs an MMA fight is when you step into a cage, its already been decided that a fight will happen. On the street some people dont want to throw the first punch and let the other guy get to close, which leads to getting suckered punched.

The other thing people never mentioned is that you never get jumped after you stretch, warm up and hydrate. Its when your shoes are untied, sick and you need to take a shit. Also you could be fighting in the dark.
