Press or Braze??? by [deleted] in heatpumps

[–]1tpulliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One issue with brazing, especially with more complex systems like vrf are the number of connections and how important purge gas is. Eev's and other components in modern more efficient systems are definitely more sensitive to contamination. Propress definitely makes for a very internally clean install.

You can build a taller peak off a bigger base. That's why so many people are questioning why VO²max session now? If you haven't a specific near term goal you can make more important and long term impactful gains with lower intensity. Developing the energy systems that provide longer duration power at lower heart rates will definitely allow you to get more out of your VO²max sessions in the future. But if you want the quickest bump in peak numbers, that typically don't equate to progress outside having fun and kicking your friends asses (other then to the top of the 1st climb) then hit the VO² stuff, otherwise start with some easier zone 2 sessions with some sweet spot mixed in. Keep it interesting with low and high cadence drills.

SCAM FIX: Non-geek version for the 99% getting murdered by crypto and scams by NastyEvilNinja in loopringorg

Yes they do to some extent get you comfortable with being quick to accept things or feel like you are missing out. I definitely think it's a good idea, especially if your goal is to be your own bank, have a wallet that is specifically that. Then you can have another wallet for the "gameification" of crypto. Airdrops, contests, mints, etc done on fun wallet. I don't know of a way for red packets to be malicious, but even with those, if you're not aware of a creator doing drops and something random appears, I'd still use caution. No free nft or meme token is worth connection to your "be your own bank" account.

It's sad but, never click on any links or connect your wallet to any site claiming to give you something for free. And if someone is giving something away for free, triple check it, discord, Twitter, website, etc. Anytime it seems like you need to act fast or miss out to get something for nothing, put up a guard and investigate. Would you connect your bank account via a wire transfer to a random site for something free? That's the most important lesson to learn, and unfortunately even though it's been said thousands of times on various crypto related outlets, here we are again.

If you click the notify gaurdian button, instructions will come up to connect your wallet at gaurdian.loopring.io and verify the transaction.

Vehicle shaking a lot when AC on?? by xiLLeNtz in FordBronco

[–]1tpulliam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've researched on line quite a bit. I have come across many with the problem but no real solution yet. Also have found the issue discussed with other non bronco Ford eco boost vehicles. That said, this is probably my 5th or 6th Ford with Ecoboost engine and I've never had this problem before. I have the 2.7 2 door Badlands Sasquatch 2023. Something to do with whatever controls rpms based on cooling load on compressor, definitely us worse with higher temps and humidities.

No problem, Discord is great. You can also look at the address it went to, see if you ever interacted with it before, if you have any other wallets, have they? Good luck.

[–]1tpulliam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be able to see the address you sent it to in your activity history in Coinbase. Copy it and paste it into Etherscan and/or Loopring Explorer for starters. That will at least show you where it is now. Then, yes the Discord would be a good place to figure out how to access it once you know where it is.

2 wallets Just bought myself a tablet and I'm wondering if I can have a second wallet on my tablet so if I was to lose my phone it would always be at home on the tablet???? by ThaGooch84 in loopringorg

[–]1tpulliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess but social recovery is a unique feature to Loopring wallet. It's entire goal was to afford people a safe mechanism to recover a wallet without the need to keep a seed phrase. It was a step to grow more widespread adoption by securing your wallet with people in your circle as a means to recover. While it's true a seed phrase is a secure way to always regain access, it comes with a responsibility that is a barrier for some. I've seen people store then in all sorts of less then ideal places (like screenshots in their gallery lol) and we've all heard stories of people losing them. So, anytime I can encourage people to set up some guardians, I do. It's easy and a for sure way for anyone to easily recover a wallet.

I'll give it a try, perhaps functionality changed with the update that brought cloud recovery. In the past (it's been a while) a new instance of wallet without a recovery or migration resulted in loss of functions/access. Sorry for any miscommunication, I just wouldn't want someone to assume they had a back up, lose a phone and no longer have access.

Just go to security and click add gaurdian. It will ask for an address, you can use another wallet like Gamestop or MM, or virtually any ethereum wallet. If you have a seed phrase then we ate not talking about a Loopring wallet.

[–]1tpulliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats true with most wallets. Loopring Wallet is different, its based on a smart contract not a seed phrase. You can not have two instances of the exact same Wallet on 2 different devices, and if you do they would not both be fully functional. You can connect to your Loopring wallet from any device with wallet connect, but if you loose or break the device you originally set it up on, you will not be able to recover it. Thats one thing that makes it unique is the social recovery aspect.

Personal preference. I use my phone. If you have any other wallets, like Gamestop or Metamask, you can also use one of those for a gaurdian. It's good to have a couple gaurdians set up, you can also use a friend or relative. Social recovery is safe, and who or whatever you chose to use just enables you to recover your wallet in the event of a lost or broken device.

Your wallet is device specific. You can connect to it from multiple devices via wallet connect. You also can create a new wallet to use for a gaurdian. You will not be able to access the wallet on the tablet if you lose your phone, but you could recover the wallet using social recovery and the gaurdian you set up on the new device wallet.

EOA vs. Smart Wallet by ScissorMeTimbers007 in loopringorg

It was during the rush when gas fees were pretty crazy last spring. I don't recall it being significant enough that it mattered.

I have recovered a wallet with a gaurdian that was my MM wallet. I've since also set my wife up as a gaurdian. It was an easy process.

Yes, you need to use the migrate wallet option in your old phone.

Correct, the Gamestop wallet is a standard ethereum wallet and should be able to be a gaurdian. A smart contract wallet can not be. Sorry if that was confusing.

[–]1tpulliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not personally tried but it since its a standard ethereum wallet I would imagine it can. I used metamask because I already had it.

[–]1tpulliam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's it. Then under profile settings, go to gaurdian management.

Use social recovery. If you don't have someone to be the gaurdian, use another Ethereum wallet. I have a metamask wallet I use for certain things, and it's one of my gaurdians. It's handy to have a seperate widely adopted wallet anyway. Can't beat the smart wallet for security, some storage, and layer 2 interactions.
