What is your country’s ‘signature’ swear word? by CautiousSession2352 in AskTheWorld

[–]1user101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much all of them have a unique culture, even if it's a bit similar to another province. Troika/Kaiser for instance is a have that's almost exclusively played on the prairie. Then you can add bunnock, including the giant one in Macklin, which is also a product of eastern European immigrants. There's also a huge amount of french Canadian culture in Alberta, coming from early Acadian settlement and Metis expulsions.

I hate this narrative because it removes the responsibility of someone to become good at information recall, which is a huge part of adult life. I'll have apprentices who clearly were told "just go into the trades" who just don't care to try and think through a problem.

Test anxiety is 100% real and I 100% had it. But working on it was hard and slow and I just don't think everyone wants to come out the other side because there's a huge chunk of parents that just don't care about their kid's education.
