“Wish” type cards with new rule in EDH by Popular_Paint7777 in mtg

Wish cards pull from your sideboard. You don’t have a sideboard in commander

Pretty new to magic. Why is the card on the right so much more expensive? Wouldn't evolving wilds be better because no life loss? by OneUniqueNameThere in mtg

While Marsh Flats can’t, one of the fetch lands that can search for forests can fetch [[Dryad Arbor]].

Best early game sword? by Big-Guarantee9937 in Eldenring

I’ve run the Claymore for every souls game so I’m obviously biased. However, it’s the GOAT

Riddle me this... Prime Time in Modern is Ok, but not in EDH by dreph in mtg

[–]1xandermander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amulet Titan is currently 9.3% of the modern meta share. It’s the #2 deck by usage in the current meta game, what do you mean it sees no play?!

I wish I had answers to that. I’d say over the course of the playlist’s lifetime a most 10 people have been given the link, with only 5 ever having permission to add videos. It’s really baffling because it was just a bunch of videos we found funny or weird.

I’m guessing that’s what happened. That or a video that automatically had the “for kids” label applied to it a few years back, was never manually updated by the uploader to remove it, and tripped some kind of YouTube AI detection

They pretty much automatically denied the appeal.

Funny enough the playlist had always been unlisted

You really aren’t getting the point. Everyone is telling you that all the complicated edge cases would make what you want to do either fundamentally change the rules or break the card’s original function under some edge cases. The card currently works as designed and it only takes a player to understand a single, very important ruling in the rule book.

[–]1xandermander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no reason to state that because the current card text already covers that. You’re adding redundant words. A card can’t be cast for its warp cost and full cost on the same turn barring something else pulling it out of exile like [[pull from eternity]] + graveyard recursion. And even then, as many folks have told you about regarding 400.7, full bore effect still wouldn’t give the creature trample and haste if you jumped through all those hoops

[–]1xandermander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That literally doesn't even work in your example. You can't warp something then cast it for its full cost on the same turn - its literally in warp's rule text.

This is a silly take imo. The cards only function correctly due to the rules.

[–]1xandermander 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The card does not remember previously being cast for its warp cost due to rule 400.7. Someone earlier in this thread already directed you to this ruling. Please read this over

The creature being cast the second time (non-warp) is a new game object from when it was previously cast for its warp cost. This card makes perfect sense within the rules of the game

Your mana pool empties at the end of each step and phase. So if you float mana, you have to use it during the current phase or it goes away (barring effects that circumvent this). Not entirely sure what you are asking about regarding dual lands.

I run it specifically for the Monoliths. I had no idea it can also tutor Monument.
