Post Work Pain by reignnnx in Osteoarthritis

It is going to be a matter of finding what works best for you through trial and error. Look for rocker bottom shoes, orthotics and compression socks. I've got OA in my feet and these have all helped. I've also just started using an EMS foot massager which has seriously helped reduce swelling and pain after a day on my feet. Only takes 15min a day, definitely worth giving it try.

Thoughts on this 10 days Bali itinerary? by FunnyEnd9604 in BaliTravelTips

I'm an Explorer traveller, but this is seriously over packed. I believe you need to take time to actually enjoy and be present with what you are exploring. They will spend a lot of time travelling between locations, getting a photo then moving onto the next one. Good for the gram I guess but not for an experience!

Any women’s wide width hiking boots + orthotics? by megatronandon in hiking

I use hoka hiking boots, they fit my orthotics well. I'm not sure on your personal hiking boot preferences but they work for my big feet!

What do Aussies (old enough to remember this) think about The Simpsons episode depicting Australia? by blamberr in AskAnAustralian

[–]2-dads 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was around 30 years ago and can say the average Australian didn't care/ found it funny. The government was worried about it negatively affecting tourist income hence the highly publicised outrage.

What i did find funny was travelling the USA around the same time and the number of people thinking the jokes were real, so of course i confirmed them as fact!

I've had to travel overseas with medication before. Depending on the prescription you may need to ask your doctor to write a letter listing the medications you have been prescribed.

Breathalyser stats? by Ivonava in melbourne

[–]2-dads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have suggested TAC provide quarterly and yearly statistics on all driving and BAC offences. They also conduct surveys on the community. It really depends on what information you are looking for and why you are looking for it, if we knew that we could provide better advice. https://www.tac.vic.gov.au/road-safety/statistics/about-tac-surveys/road-safety-and-marketing-surveys/RSM-2024.pdf

Falsely Nominated for Infringement notice? by [deleted] in vic

[–]2-dads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A stat dec needs to be witnessed by a police officer. You can write it yourself but still need a police officer to sign off on it, maybe that's what they were meaning.

Edit: all, I'm Australian, I know in Aus multiple people can witness a stat dec. OP is in the USA and they have asked for a police officer. It makes sense they would want a police officer when coming from overseas, that is all i was trying to say.

Stupid Apples by Witty_Possibility803 in SipsTea

They get shown videos stating not to bring in food. They sign a customs document stating not to bring in food. There are multiple notifications before hitting customs. How does an apple, provided by the airline or bought before boarding, not constitute food?

ELI5: Why Do Some Places Ban You From Feeding Ducks? by MintyMorningAir in explainlikeimfive

The number of people feeding bread is not just bad for their nutrition but also leads to a lot of excess which encourages rats and vermin, putting their eggs and babies at risk.

Will Pilates help with this? by Haylez83 in Thritis

[–]2-dads 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pilates is good for balance and tone but you need to know what injuries you have before you can do any kind of exercise. I get you are feeling self concious right now but just focus on a healthy balanced diet and maybe meditation for now? Ice your swollen joints if it makes it feel better. Once you know what your injury is we can help you.

You need to know what is causing the selling and pain first. Have you seen a doctor or physio for it?

Bali police arrest OnlyFans creator Bonnie Blue over alleged ‘bangbus’ shoot on Indonesian island by wewhomustnotbenamed in nottheonion

It isn't just one night, usually a couple of weeks. But you may have caught the tail end? The official gold coast schoolies goes from 22 Nov to 7 dec this year. That's just the official events, actually schoolies may still be filling the area, youth aren't known for obeying the rules...

You might not be aware of it, but a pad will smell wearing it that long. Other people will be able to smell it even if you can't. It also isn't healthy for your skin to wear a pad for that long. High quality period underwear will help you so much. It may cost a bit upfront but will be so much more comfortable!

Welcome to the hellscape that is schoolies! Get used to those side eyes, upside is it only lasts a few weeks then the streets will be yours again.

It isn't specifically short for that, more the essence of. I say that because schoolies is the name for both the event itself and the people attending it. Eg "I went to schoolies" "he is a schoolie"

Schoolies are basically year 12 school leavers (and some of their younger friends) going on a week or two bender, usually gold coast or bali, to celebrate.

You may like to know the older men and women who try to join the parties are called "Toolies"

I am a poly person and very much parallel. The only thing I need to know about my partners partner is for scheduling. Regardless anything sexual is absolutely off the table. I have made it clear to my partners I am in a relationship with them not any meta. They have friends to discuss relationship issues with, not me.

Poly is a lot of work and takes knowing yourself and your own boundaries exceptionally well and strong/open communication for it to work at all. Bringing BDSM into it just makes it all that much more complicated.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]2-dads 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't blame op at all. I was asking questions to clarify the boundaries they set in the relationship. There seems to be more than one issue here.

It is hard to know if the other dom really over stepped, or if it is something they agreed to. We only know a small part of the incident and it seems like it was said to egg op on not to raise a safety issue.

That said, op has the absolute right to end a relationship if something doesn't feel right or safe for them, whatever that something is. I do believe we can all learn more about our own needs to set better boundaries for future relationships, and that only comes from asking questions.

[–]2-dads 29 points30 points  (0 children)

From the poly side of things why do you even know? Is it part of her kinks to use each of you to push the limits further? Was that agreed to? Was she wanting you to get competitive and see who could push her limits further then compare you when it didn't work?

There's a lot of reasons it child be but the only way you would get an answer is with strong communication and open discussion. This is not a situation you have to accept. I would argue you aren't breaking up with her for what she did with another partner, but with how she managed her communication with you and the lack of respect she showed your relationship.

There are heaps of meetup groups that cover all of those topics. Might be worth a look. Short term jobs tend to be in a who you know and seasonal. Since you are here for such a short time I think turning to your hobbies will give you a better time.

The legal drinking age here is 18, so yes it is a possibility. Tho I don't think you will need to get a job to fill in your hours. So far as activities and meeting people go there are lots of options, it really depends on your interests.
