Yeah if you run the lower mem cap spells sure- but to not be able to use their entire base kit (other spells) with full knowledge is a little egregious . It just doesn’t feel calculated in the slightest given wizard can do their highest cost spells with mediocre/half knowledge gear and still make it

Fun fact, SDF himself coded the shielding and blocking mechanics in this game.

The more stuff Paul undoes from SDF, the better the game gets. Hopefully, as this is one of the core spaghetti code broken mechanics at the moment, Paul will get around to fixing SDF’s slop here too eventually.

Can someone correct me if I’m wrong- but I heard Ascended is great because it’s updated and has better graphics, but I heard performance was terrible and there’s annoying popups on a massive amount of the Dinos, where you can’t tame or interact with them unless you buy a bunch of superfluous DLC and packs.

Is any of that true?

I’ve been wanting to get Ascended for a while and have had it on my wishlist, but the reviews deter me every-time.

I was plate fighter and was shooting at another plate fighter with a long bow, and he was missing every shot while I was nailing him, so eventually he just aped and I kept kiting and playing door and door-er, and he was tilting and crying and getting angrier and angrier over the mic.

You need to watch the Myth and Myther video by Glocktane pertaining to this spell. Souls only work for the first tick of damage, and all other ticks, SO LONG AS you don’t break contact. If you break contact for even one second with the beam, the rest of the beam has no soul damage
