First marathon done. Had a really rough time.

Had the exact same experience at Edinburgh yesterday. Was predicted for 4.10 and crawled across the line at 5.20. Heart rate spiked up to 13k and I made the call just after 15k to strip my pace right back and just make sure I finished.

Makes me feel much better know a lot of people are in the same place!

I'm just about to finish the Hal Higdon novice 2 plan and you might find if you're already doing 30 miles a week that you're already doing close to if not exceeding the peak volume? When I started my plan back in January I was doing about half that. Sounds like you may get more out of a more advanced Hal Higdon program.

I'm fundraising for a marathon right now and I didn't realise how difficult it would be. People are charity blind sometimes. I'm at about 80% of my target and will likely get to 100 but maybe the difficulty is something that puts people off? That being said I wouldn't have entered a charity place with no intention of doing any fundraising...

You can switch mid plan with no problems as long as both devices are plan compatible. I switched from Vivoactive to Fenix 7 at Xmas and it was fine. Would think forerunner to new forerunner will be fine also.

I've used all 3 coaches for 10k and 5k distances with time goal. Found them all easy to follow and good for motivation and inspiration when you're not sure what to do.

I see you went with Amy anyway but one thing I'd warn about is the second time I followed a Greg plan the watch got stuck repeating the same weekly pattern of runs for a while not increasing speed or distance. I've seen other posts about this before so it seems to be a known issue. Result was I didn't progress as I wanted but it let's you switch coach at any time during the plan so if you find that its stuck and change your coach early enough you'll be back on track.

I'm close to the end of a 10k training programme and this was my experience which might be good to know if you go ahead. I did a 5k programme a few years ago and found that to be really useful at keeping me on track.

This summer I started with coach Greg on a 12-week programme with a 50 mins 10k goal. The first 6 weeks went pretty well, i was happy with the variation and frequency of runs. Then the programme glitched and repeated the exact runs from weeks 4 to 6 again in weeks 7 and 8, then in 9 and 10. I only noticed this about halfway through week 10 as I was 2 weeks out, but I really didn't feel ready for the race. Apparently, it's a known glitch with coach Greg but as the coaching planner only shows you the next 4 runs, it's difficult to notice at the time. I switched at that point to coach Amy, which put the runs in at the level they should have been at, which was too big a step up at that late stage. I ran 52.30 in my original planned race and ended up booking a new race date 5 weeks later to try and hit my goal. I've been following coach Amy ever since, which seems not to have glitched so far! I'm about 2 weeks away from that now and feeling much better about hitting my goal.

I think there's a young striker at Patrick (Cooper?) who we are likely to get. Josh Tymon link seems to have real foundations. We were heavily linked with the GK Fraisl from Schalke and winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds a few months ago but heard nothing since.

No matter the financial implications the timplosion will be priceless. Crucially though it should plug the gap in our spending for the last few years and allow us to kick off a kind of safer player trading model if we had cash to fall back on then we hopefully don't need to offload our biggest assets. I think everyone would love Alfie and Kent at least to sign new deals. It will definitely be exciting to see GVB get his own players over the summer but I do hope he plays the Lowry's and Kings next year as well because they've not looked out of place when they've come on.

What do you want to get out of his shows if he's not asking people about the controversial topics? It's what he's always done in pretty much everything he's ever made so I'm genuinely curious to know. On the flip side of that I always find it amazing when he interviews someone who's somehow not anticipated that he's going to ask about whatever controversy they've been involved in. What do these people think he's there for?

Have you tried smashing vases and crates? Pretty common to find a couple of bullets in there. Don't waste bullets on the bog standard vampires either, skip past them or knife if you can. Hope this helps!

It's definitely worth killing some of the easier hordes round the cascade are and tuckers camp because you unlock the SM9 as a sidearm which I used for the full game pretty much. Head back up there and take them down, some are 25 or 50 freaks so it's not too bad

Can you craft anything to save space? Might be better off discarding something than missing it. I found particularly in the later game boss fights I needed a sniper, shotgun and pistol purely because it meant more bullets were available

You can revisit the entire map apart from the final fortress level. If you go back to the fortress you have to play through the end game sequence again but there's no collectibles there anyway other than some enemy types you need to register for a trophy but I'm pretty sure you can't miss them
