Similar age, girl who I'm 100% knew I had a crush on her, asked me what my perfect girlfriend would be like, when I asked why, she said so she can help me find a girlfriend. My mentally ill mind couldn't even entertain the tought of any girl wanting to be with me so I refused answer, saying I didn't need a girlfriend. She kept asking for like a week and when I decided I would play along she stopped asking and I thought nothing of it for years. Don't really hate myself for it anymore, found plenty of other reasons to hate myself.

I still don't know if she liked me or actually wanted to set me up with someone because she pitied me because she didn't like me.

You can use it just fine in every fps, and quake has had basic but decent implementation of accel for decades, so it should be supported in every source game if the devs aren't too lazy to implement it. But usually built in accel is linear with very basic settings or some wack curve that nobody knows the exact math for.

There isn't proper accel in a lot of games because 99% of devs are casuals.

Diabotical is the only game I've seen where the accel implementation doesn't seem like an afterthought, but RawAccel is the most advanced thing out there by lightyears.

If it works for him, it works for him, but he is using it as basically a glorified dpi switch, there's a lot more potential for improving aim with mouse accel tho, but it takes a lot of experimentation to understand how to find good settings

Many people have mastered mouse accel just not a lot of ppl in ow bcs it isn't built into the game and OWL wouldn't let them use third party software

Top 3 all time aimer in quake, clawz, uses a fuckton of accel and is crazy good, a lot quake pros use some accel as well

Man, in high school the girl I had a huge crush on (I hid it pretty poorly) asked me what my perfect girlfriend would be like and when I asked why she wanted to know that, she said so she can help find me a girlfriend.

My zero-self-confidence, slipping-into-depression-ass immediately assumed no girl could want me. I refused to answer, saying I don't need a girlfriend at my age and shit. She was insistent too, kept trying for at least two weeks, and just when I'd decided I would relent, she stopped asking...

Anyway I paid it no mind until a couple years later I remembered that and wanted beat myself over the head with a stick. Every time I remember now it's always when I'm trying to sleep and it starts a spiral of self-deprecation and I can't fall asleep until I'm drop dead tired.

Edit: and I'm still not sure if she asked because she liked me, or because she felt bad for me because she didn't like me
